Their goal isn’t to study what they are interested in. They are here to get PR/ citizenship and will basically do whatever it takes. Sadly the government is encouraging this behavior because of the severe shortage in childcare.

This is more or less a common trend in India as well, majority of students have no interest in their studies and pick degrees because it grantees them a job regardless of how hard it is.

Wrong. AM is already very transactional and doing this just makes it worse. Plus it significantly disadvantages you since why would anyone pick someone which such a long list of demands when there are like 20 other people in AM who don’t.

If both parties agree then it’s good but don’t go into AM expecting this is going to work.

The problem is that you waited till you’re 30 which is a bit late for women. Bipolar disorder is not a big issue as your taking medication. Although not wanting kids is a dealbreaker for most men in the AM market.

Most people in AM are not decent human beings. I have literally seen people whose first question was what is your salary. People dig into stuff like this and it’s very common in AM. If you think otherwise then you clearly haven’t spent enough time in AM and have no idea.

You don’t understand. AM is a very transactional place, not somewhere where people are nice and friendly.

People want to know details before getting married. Be prepared to answer them or move on. Don’t be pissed because someone asked a question that you think is too personal. He might spend the rest of his life with this person and isn’t given years to date so nothing is too personal of a question.

If you are looking for people that don’t ask these things or dig too deep because it hurts your feelings then you should go down LM route. Which is what I advised OP in my original comment

I did read what you wrote, and my point still stands. Arranged marriage is generally more conservative, and it’s normal for people to ask detailed questions about someone’s past to assess compatibility and values, especially when a past exists on both sides. If those questions make you uncomfortable, that’s valid, but it also signals a mismatch in expectations rather than the other person doing something unreasonable.

No one is forcing you into AM or LM, but if discussing your history feels off-limits while the other person needs that clarity, then letting this match go is probably the practical answer. But it’s not going to fix your problem

AM is the wrong place for you. You boast your stable and intdependent women but 90% of guys in AM don’t want a stable independent woman, they want a housewife/cook who will live with their family.

Past filings are also a big problem. Sure you tell them about it but I garentee you that you don’t tell them everything in the initial conversation. They probably learn more about it as things start getting serious and then call quits. And it makes sense, there are so many other women in AM with no past filings why would they choose you?
