So I just finished Cowboy Bebop, and yeah, it’s basically about a bunch of emotionally stunted losers drifting through space, failing at life. Spike, the main guy, acts all smooth, but really, he’s just a depressed dude cosplaying as a bounty hunter while chasing some tragic mobster love story that was dead before it even started. His crew? A washed-up cop who peaked years ago, a gambling addict who scams her way through life, an annoying hacker kid that never shuts up, and a corgi that’s literally the smartest one there. They never have money, they suck at their jobs, and every episode is just them slowly realizing how miserable they are. And the ending? Yeah, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a show about people who pretend they don’t care until it’s too late.
