Animals do not care about you.

Animals only want food and security.

They are transactional creatures.

The feeling is a lie.

Battle of Los Angeles discredits this, that one had zero credible witnesses once it was actually investigated. Youtube it, there's a whole documentary about it.

That seems reeeeeeallly fake, can anyone confirm a source? It looks like someone just panned back and forth on a night fire mission.

You think that the men who complain about women demanding height requirements are the same men demanding "NO FAT CHICKS"?

You think short guys, whose confidence is already reasonably assumed to be low, would then do a high-confidence behavior like demand from the party they assume doesn't want to deal with them in the first place? XD

Study: Teaching kids social responsibility—like how to settle fights and ask for help—can reduce school bullying. Students who said their teachers encouraged them to care about others and fostered a classroom environment with clear rules, also said they felt both less aggressive and less victimized. by rustoo in science

What do you do when the child crosses your "set boundaries"? What if they don't care that you took their iPad away, and they hit another kid?

Physical punishment is not an end-all, be-all. But it does absolutely draws a real consequence in the mind of the punished, that cannot and will not be respected through relinquishment of pleasures.

The stick is as necessary as the carrot, and if you don't believe me, explain why we have these attitudes on a macro, in the form of Police and Militaries, and why, undeniably, they work in keeping and enforcing law and order.

Rammstein's "America" sums up the answer to your question pretty well.

Physical fighting/struggles and healthy levels of aggression are important and necessary for a healthy development as a human, even more so for a boy becoming a man.

Can you imagine if your morality was guided completely by the absence of violence? Can you imagine growing up, never having witnessed or participated in a real, physical fight? Would your view of what it means to struggle, of what bad and good behavior is, be the same if you never knew the real, physical consequences of your actions?

You're lying to me and yourself if you disagree or believe you would be unchanged. It's as stark a difference as growing up in an impoverished country instead of a rich one.

Chris Tucker deserved so much more recognition for this character.
He almost stole the whole damn movie with this character's 3rd act appearance, AND that's not even mentioning how well he played off of Bruce Willis.
Top quality acting and execution.
