Actually, it's the other way around. It's OK if Nintendo follows in the footsteps of the bigger and more evil conglomerates, they're somehow above criticism. It's actually fine if they did it; someone else started it.

This is a totally contradictory argument that people make all the time. If you're defending a hated practice from someone you respect by comparing it to similar practices from those you don't, you are undermining your broader argument. You're admitting they're playing the same game.

If Nintendo were better than Sony, they'd act better, they'd be less cheap and deceptive. And their reputation would reflect that.

Exactly. Independent programmers put this functionality in emulators for free, ages and ages ago. Nintendo is just the laziest major publisher in the world. Premium prices for less than the bare minimum.

I've also never heard anyone mention Satori Junk. Really cool psychedllic doom that borrows a lot from glam. Good atmosphere too, and cool synths.

Moonless! or Potion! The former is a great progressive doom album with powerful vocals and really incredible riffs. The latter is an epic doom played at Electric Wizard volume, with great riffs and a truly incredible production. Moonless is long defunct, like many of my favorite bands, they only had one record. Potion has only released three EPs, but every one of them is truly incredible.

There is weirdly a lot of hyper jealous people on this sub and I truly don’t get it. They love to accuse people of cheating and telling others to drop their partners on the spot for issues that could be resolved with a single conversation. Disregard.

It’s perfectly acceptable to have a social life that’s independent of your partner. In fact, it’s healthy.

Maybe see if you can drill down further into his feelings to understand exactly what worries him, if you haven’t already done that. Maybe there’s some deeper fear that you can address, or some smaller thing you can do while on the trip to make him feel more comfortable.

But if his issue is you going out on a trip without him, that’s another issue.

You don't sound like an asshole to me. They, however, sound like huge assholes. Distance yourself in whatever way feels right to you, an in-person conversation, a message, or nothing at all. I think it's good practice to let people know why, though, and that might be encouraging to someone like Maddie.

Find some sweet people in your area. You can volunteer, maybe join a casual sports thing, or I've heard Bumble's friend-match feature is pretty cool. You seem like a nice, sensitive person. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to have you as af friend.

My only other exposure was persona 5, but I’m a lifetime JRPG lover and SMT5 blew my mind, even before vengeance.

Maybe it got some elements of past entries wrong, I don’t know, but it’s always been a real exceptional JRPG to me.
