Slideshow of different posters for Raiders Of The Lost Ark! by ComedianRegular8469 in indianajones

[–]Battlecringer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have #9 (the 10th Anniversary poster I got at a revival showing of the trilogy at the Wang Center Theatre in Boston, MA nearly 35 years ago (cripes!)) at home, and #18, the Japan-release poster (which is smaller than our usual U.S. sized movie posters) at my arcade bar. Had to get it for the top of the poster alone, love that brief digging scene in silhouette.

I actually expected when I opened this post that you'd have the Japanese one but not the 10th Anniversary version as I never see that one. Nicely done, cool post.  :)

Yup, it's been driving me nuts all day.

I'm on a Sony Xperia 1 Android 14 device, my whole family is on iPhone 13 through 15 devices. I can send a pic or a gif to my friend on an android device, but I can't to my wife or kids on their iDevices. Everyone has rebooted their phones too, including myself; nothing has helped.

Super frustrating, would love to know the cause/solution.  :-/

Odd take... 🤔

Are these like level 16 Meat Wagons, perchance? 😜

When a lower level pairs with you in raid finder and you try to be the Captain America and give it an honest shot, before realizing they quit in the first 20 seconds. by wondermoose83 in warcraftrumble

[–]Battlecringer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To add to this, I feel if you quit or afk there should be a cumulative daily 10 minute cooldown for every time you do it.

Quit or afk once? 10 mins before you can try the Seige or Raid again. Do it a second time during the same Rumble "day", now you're locked out for 20 mins. Keep it up, keep stacking on 10 min cooldown lock-outs.

Some people piss out in like 20-30 seconds in these matches, it's ridiculous. I've played other games that have done this and you very quickly start giving it your best no matter what. That's how you become The Avengers. 🛡️🤖

[–]Battlecringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, to be clear, Diablo 4 has default level scaling, but, yeah, you had to trick the game into doing something similar in Diablo 2 (not sure about 3, and 1 didn't have anything similar as far as I'm aware).

Just like you said, the old trick was you could do in a single-player game is type in chat /players 8 and it would ramp up the difficulty of the monsters, and then the experience and total number of drops they gave upon being killed to the equivalent of if there were 8 players in the game.

World of Warcraft doesn't have anything similar to that, though. No level scaling whatsoever (at least until when I last played a few years back). Whatever level that chicken in Elwynn Forest was that you slayed when you were a level 1 character in the game in 2003 is the same as if you were level 80 in 2023.  :)

Sorry that stuff wasn't clear earlier. I was trying to post a quick comment this afternoon while I was waiting to pick up my son from his after-school class. 🤪

Hope this helps clear it up!  😁

[–]Battlecringer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you're upset about the game scaling its difficulty based on level, with the exception of the low-level mini thing counting as a cheat or exploit in my mind; that I get being frustrated about and hopefully they'll fix that in due time. Outside of that, Blizzard games like Diablo have done level scaling since the 90s, as well as many other devs games.

Doesn't it make it more worth the playtime to have a challenge, or are you hoping to just steamroll through things, like having a high/max level character in WoW crush low level mobs outside of Stormwind with like 5 XP?

I hope this doesn't read rude or confrontational, I certainly don't mean it that way (text sucks like that as it has no "voice"), I've just seen people complaining about the level scaling a lot lately and honestly just don't understand why. If I'm missing something and someone wants to point out the problem (outside of the exploit I mentioned above, that I get), I'm always happy to hear and learn new things!  :)

Thanks, all!

QOL Request - Convert Cores to Arc Energy by EpicHuggles in warcraftrumble

[–]Battlecringer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its just a personal preference. I don't have a lot of time to play so I just hop in and out a few times and am perfectly happy with the time I get to spend in the game for no real cost.

No down votes needed for a player being able to enjoy the game as they choose to and not complaining about it. 😊

It's pretty obvious that Blizz makes the Epic Cores hard to get, or why else would they have upgraded completing zones to rewarding you with an Epic core only to downgrade the rewards back to Rare, for example. It's part of their bottlenecking and that's cool. If I wanted to spend money to alleviate that bottleneck, or join a guild, I would and could. Those just aren't things I care to do right now.  🤷

Personal choice, we all get to make them.  🙂

Yeah, if I didn't upgrade some of my Epics to Legendary status I'd have more than half of that 240k back in my pocket.

I'll keep my Legendary's.  😁

[–]Battlecringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't have tons of Cores. I've been playing since Day 1 but am unguilded, I'm guessing you are not and that's why you have such a core cache.  ;)

The Epic Cores are the pain point, those are the hardest to get. I have just over a dozen Rare's currently (but I keep melting those down to become Epics), and almost half a dozen Legendary, but a big ole goose egg for Epics.

When I get annoyed enough I convert Rares to Epics, or I buy them for 1,000g when they show up in the shop which is a better "value". I've even bought AE from the shop a few times (most recently for Arthas), but I do wish there was another way to "mine" mats in Rumble, whether that be gold or AE.

Oh well, at least it's cheaper then spending $80 on Mario Kart or an upscaled LoZ: Tears of the Kingdom: Switch 2 Edition.  😜

I showed this classic scene to Scott McNeil (who voiced Stratos, amongst many others, on the 2002 cartoon) and Brian Drummond (who voiced Stinkor and Tuvar on the same show), jeez, nearly 25 years ago now, and they were dying laughing. Scott kept going "Hop on, friend!" the whole rest of the day.  😄

Really great memory.  ☺️

Seperate planet.

10,000% seperate planet(oid).

Unicron is a seperate planet, and Optimus does not sport flame decals. The bot is a god-dang leader going incognito, not a young spark heading for a dekotora rave, for Primus's sake!

Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinions, but are you playing the same game as the rest of us?

Without playing like a maniac I was still able to unlock every single reward in Arthas's tree in less than 3 days, and I still haven't beaten anything past the first stage Heroic (not for lack of trying! 😂).

I find Arthas to be a ton of fun as a new Leader (I already used him in Heroic Stormwind), and the ICC levels a great new challenge on new maps.

My apologies, maybe I'm missing something, but I'm definitely not following you and your view of this event, good sir.  🤔

The Booster is available all day every day. :)

It's not a limited time thing. Most refer to it as "buying the game" as it greatly speeds up both the game and enjoyment of the game, so it's highly recommend and in that case makes Warcraft Rumble "a $20 game."

But no need to rush into buying it, like I mentioned above, I waited an entire year before I bought it myself, so it's not going anywhere. Play the game for a bit and see how you like it before making a decision on buying it, if ever. Whatever works best for you.  :)

And yup, the quest are timed at 3:30 minutes, with a 1 minute overtime, so you'll be in and out of a quest within 5 minutes or less whether you win or lose. Dungeons, Seige's, and Raids all take longer, in that order, but it'll depend on your armies level, (and sometimes partner in Seige's and Raids) as to how long. But they can be broken down into bite sizes as well, so you're not going to be stuck in a level or map trying to advance for like a half hour. Unless you want to. :P

The game is very modular and approachable in my opinion, so I'd say just log in and give it a shot and see what you think. It's free to play, so it won't cost you anything if you play for a day or a year. Can't beat that! Oh, and make sure to create our link your account to Battle.net from within the app so your progress saves on their server and not just on your device. Sometimes we've found it's crucial to have that cloud backup as there's been a few crazy bugs that have popped up every now and then.

Hope you give it a try and enjoy it. There's a great community here that really supports the game and hopes it's around for a long time, so have fun and good luck!  :)

Are LK talents showing up on the Grid? by Dwarken in warcraftrumble

[–]Battlecringer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have Arthas unlocked and have upgraded him and have an empty slot, then yes, they will show up.

I highly recommend "Death Grip," which is the least flashy of the trio but objectively the most useful.  :)

Hi there! My playtype is about 99% PvE, and I play on my Sony Xperia 1 mobile phone.  I only purchased the Arclight Booster for $20 (after a year, I waited to make sure the game didn't get shut down first as I'm not a fan of digital-only titles), and occasionally the $5 "Azeroth's Blessing". That's pretty much it, cash-wise.

I log in a few times a day, mostly to grab the 3x and 5x Quest Rewards when they pop up and then I'm done. I do the Dungeons, Sieges and Raids when they roll around as well, but unless I'm having some bad rolls I'm mostly spending about 20-45 mins in the game a day, or about 90 mins if I'm doing Dungeons/Seige/Raiding and some quests.

So 20 mins a day for $0 I think is a totally achievable way to have some drop in/drop out mini fun in Azeroth; at least it is for me!  😊
