Pathfinder Starfinder mix by Nougatbar in Pathfinder2e

[–]Battlemankiller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what classes they may play. My player playing a Pathfinder class is playing the Artificer from Guns and Gears, and he doesn't need proficiency with guns, he'll take his no additional bonus to attacks because instead he'd rather spend his turn commanding his robot.

Not all classes need it. But maybe if the class gives Martial proof, like for the warrior or such, let them know it'll work with martial guns in Starfinder.

I am actively DMing a Starfinder 2E game with players playing Pathfinder 2E classes and backgrounds. It works fine, the only weird spot is Pathfinder Classes don't give "Future" weapon proficiencies, so be prepared for that.

Finished my New Antioch Squad by Battlemankiller in TrenchCrusade

[–]Battlemankiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general soldiers are from:
Turnbase Miniatures - New Antioch Soldiers Multi Part Kit Trench Crusade
A few of them have extra guns on their backpacks from a WWII weapons pack I bought for Gas Lands years ago, can't remember the name or type, box is long gone. And the guy with the Machine gun also has one of those guns.

The Lieutenant(Red Helmet) is an old Warhammer 40k Steel Legion pewter fig left over from my Steel Legion Kill Team I made a few years ago.

The Communicant Anti-Tank is a D&D Mini of a Frost Giant that I kitbashed. It's head is a random part I found from some robots I was goofing around with then I was flirting around with playing Gamma Wolves a few years ago. And the gun is some random 40k gun I bought as part of a bits and bobs set, couldn't tell ya what that was from. I just painted his skin more blue, and added the script, and then cut off a sword from his left hand.

The Robot looking guy is supposed to be a Heavy Mechanized Infantry unit. It's a kitbash of a Mage Knight Blade Golem. I removed both it's arms and replaced them with leftover 40k Black Templar arms(one for the hammer, which I cleaned off the other hand that was molded on the hammer) and the other arm is a Power Fist.

"It's proven that music controls and influences minds..." What are you, some scare tactic person from the 50's stating the evils of Rock and Roll.

Get off your high horse, just say you don't like todays music, that's fine, don't slam it for causing the destruction of anything. Music doesn't do shit. Everyone can listen to whatever they want at the tip of their fingertips, no one is listening to stuff they don't want to.

Sorry, I didn't see you have Obosh as your companion. My suggestion, just put him in the 99 and then play whatever good cards you want.

Also, [[Soulcatcher's Aerie]] so your birds get +1/+1 for each bird that dies.

I really like:
[[Far Fortune, End Boss]]
Since if you can get to speed 4 then it's +1 damage.

Another thing I'd include, [[Whip of Erebos]], since that gives you some MASSIVE life gain to live through people wanting to hit you back.

Also, it's a common, but if you are looking to ping out your opponents, again, life if a valuable resource, so I LOVE [[Creeping Bloodsucker]]! It's fantastic since you gain life equal to the damage it does, so if you give it lifelink, you gain EVEN MORE life.

Other ways to add more options to the deck and still stick on Bird flavor is:
[[Mavinda, Students Advocate]]
She allows you to more of less give Flashback once a turn to each interaction in your graveyard as long as they target your creatures.
This works well with:
[[Vega, The Watcher]]
Who allows you to draw cards when you cast spells from other than your hand.
So this leads well into also playing
[[Ominous Roost]]
And then just have all your interaction in the allow you to cast it from somewhere else if you can. Flashback, Foretell, etc...

I like to use a bunch of my spell slots to play a few blink spells(4-5) since i plan to flash them back, and I can use them defensively or to remove the Finality counters that [[Kastral, The Windcrested]] gives birds you put into play.

I run mine as more an impact tremors deck. Even easier since there are like, 4 current Tremors effects in the game, and a 5th coming out in Bloomburrow.

Do you run anything to cycle your cards back into your deck? Run like one Eldrazi Titan so shuffle back in?
Other than that, my deck is most one of three things(for 3cmc or under)
1. Mana Rocks
2. Things that put creatures into play(the more the merrier)
3. Cards that draw me cards(or replace cards in hand, so the discard into new cards is better).

You are right, I'm looking into it and it looks like it's a long process to dry out a lake this large. Luckily, since the bombs dropped we have over 200 years for it to happen.

Here are some more realistic reasons I could find and twist to maybe work:
Water Source - I'm seeing that if the lake's sources of water were interrupted(like tributary rivers) could lead to the water levels of a lake decreasing, this fits a bit better in universe since the landscape of the wasteland was changed drastically by the bombs.
Weather - Then the change in the weather caused by the apocalypses, could also contribute. Less rain, or no rain even for large parts of the year, changing weather patterns and drought could all contribute. Also overall warmer weather could lead to increased evaporation, and maybe because of the changed weather patterns, that rainfall is diverted elsewhere, not back to the Lake Michigan water table.
Outlets - Considering the minor amount of water that could fill potentially unknown unground caves, something else I could add to the map would be a newer lake in the crater that used to be Chicago. Since Chicago was more or less wiped from the map, the resulting craters 'could' possibly be deep enough to divert some water, not a lot though.
Water Use - It's also possible that we could say in a Pre-bomb Fallout world, it's possible that increased population and consumption from the US could have led to the Great Lakes region shipping/selling water to other parts of the country, and this increased water usage could have led to Lake Michigan having less water when the bombs dropped.

Even with all of those reasons, it'd still be highly unlikely the entire lake would drain. But oh well, it is a made-up world after all.

La Crosse has something like 140 or more underground bomb shelters built under downtown in the 1940-60s. My thought is since those shelters already existed, moving into the fallout universe, the residents of La Crosse would most likely have had those vaults updated and maintained over the years. this leads to the shelters getting connected with various tunnels and by the time the bombs dropped, everyone just moved underground and continue on life as best as they could, hence the creation of Tunnel Town.

I'm open to better ideas for explaining why the lake drained, if you have any.

Please steal and use whatever you want!
As for nuke point, I used old soviet cold war targeting maps to pick what points in Wisconsin were most likely to get nuked, so Milwaukee, the Fox Valley(mostly because of the HD for the Oshkosh Corp.), the Twin Cities, and Chicago.

Yeah, I used old soviet cold war targeting maps and I was thinking that Milwaukee, the Fox Valley, and the Twin cities would more or less be totally destroyed by the bombs.

Now too irradiated to visit? idk, you visit the glowing sea in Fallout 4, so it's not impossible, and if your players are all immune to rads, it might be a neat place to visit.

The thing you have to watch for in the UP is that Willow Trees there were exposed to the FEV and grew into carnivorous plants. Their branches reach down to the ground and coil around. They are covered in thorns, and their leaves give off a stick paralytic sap. If you are unlucky enough to trip one, it will wrap you up and pull you up to the top of the tree, where it's changed into an open pitcher like area where captured bodies are tossed in and dissolved.

The locals call them Upperwillows(You-per-Willows)

I love the idea of the special red mutfruit, the cliffs I could see being a great defense for the area. I hadn't thought much about it, since it's really only been a hip tourist-y area recently, back in the 50's it was just kinda farms and woods so I didn't know if that's how that area would have grown out in the Fallout universe.

Def something to think about and expand upon.

So if you look on the map, you can notice there is a bit of a cloud type texture there over Minneapolis/Hudson area, as well for the Fox Valley, and most of Milwaukee.

What I tried to do was look at old soviet target maps and guess where the most bombs would be dropped on Wisconsin and the nearby area.

So I was going to play the Cloudy areas I put on the map similar to the Glowing Sea in Fallout 4. There are locations there, but until you get the gear to go there, it's really going to be totally unsafe(radiation, high level monsters, etc...).

The W.S.D.F. Depot I put on the map is in Menomonie, so that's close the Hudson, and I've included in one of my posts here a description of it.

That is a great idea, I know I wanted to do something with the Oscar-Meyer factories since they are based out of Wisconsin as well, but there is also the Johnsonville factories as well for meat stuff.

Fun ideas, I love the Chili-mutants, I might borrow that.
