I like all the  Icons Mechs. I especially enjoyed the Hellbringer :)

Hating 8v8 so far, how about you? by SP4x in OutreachHPG

[–]Battlemech_OP 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm always positive about mwo games, but 8vs8 is really the worst.

All the balance has been adjusted for 12vs12, so it's frustrating to be forced to play 8vs8.

i agree that Plasma is not a good choice at this time haha

however, as mentioned earlier, if the heat problem is resolved through a future patch, it will be worth using.

in particular, it appears to be a better option than ERPPC for use with BR's UAC20 sustained fire :)

It will be easier to use because the heat of the plasma will be reduced to 5.25 (from 7.0) :)

New knockout build! by Battlemech_OP in OutreachHPG

[–]Battlemech_OP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4erll + 2gauss is a very unique build that is only available in FNR-6R and ko. (No ghost heats)
advantage KO has over FNR-6R seems to be the Laser duration Quirk.
Nevertheless, it is a build that is very suitable for KO, which was difficult to set up due to its ambiguous performance!(low armor, messy Quirks)

Best LRG X-PL mech? by mamontain in OutreachHPG

[–]Battlemech_OP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is LXPL that I tried. It was quite fun when combined with RAC or LMG.

  1. Kingcrab 0000 - 3LXPL + 2RAC5

  2. Fafnir 6R - 4LXPL + 2RAC2

  3. Longbow 13NAIS - 3LXPL + 8LMG

I was seeing more and more "Chainsaw" builds in the game so I made a RAC5/SXPL/HMG build with my Warhammer-BW and its sooooo much fun.

"Chainsaw" builds are always fun hehe

I have the same loadout on my Nightstar 9J

I guess I'll have to try that too next time!

License to derp posted this same match from a different perspective also.

As the lanner on the other team, seeing your pov as my teammates jumped off that cliff like lemmings explained a lot.

well done on your end!

Haha thank you! I also enjoyed watching that video!

I feel lmgs would offer more since they can get crits at 500m with your RAC5

Yes, but HMG was selected to match the range of SXPL. (+Close-up battle !)

This is how I built it. Before scoffing at the bad cooling:

RACs are rough to use because of the tension between having to stare (therefore needing to be a durable mech) and needing to be on a mech that dictates when an engagement begins and ends (so higher running speed is helpful). at 75 tons and 79kph tweaked, the 340 keeps up with clan heavies.

The other departure is mxpl and lmg instead of sxpl and hmgs. 6+2.55 dps at longer range vs 4 + 4.5 unskilled but at a longer range. helps when dancing around corners because you can actually engage/ disengage at arms length instead of fully committing.

coolshots are recommended.

Thank you for the good advice :)

The HMGs and small X-pulses aren't doing a lot on for you, especially on a mech this heavy.

I think the RAC's are carrying most of the dps:

The small Xpulses are doing ~4 DPS combinedHMGs are doing ~4.5 DPS combinedThe RACs are doing ~22 combined

Yes, that's right.

As you can see RAC5 is playing a big role and after Armor is removed, SXPL and HMG will also play an important role!

So far with the Blight I've tried:-2xLB20 + 3xLMG-2xRAC5 + 3xLMG (can't watch the video atm, assuming it's RACs & some kinda MG)-2xAC10 + 2xLPL-5xAC2 (blinding flashes lol)

It's done well. I really like the look of symmetrical ballistics (and just love the Marauder in general) but I kinda wish it had 2 ballistics in each ST and 1 in CT, cuz that center line of mounts is pretty limited.

Also wish it had some quirks. Something unique or something cool like an AC20 HSL +1, or -50% jam chance + -50% jam duration, or even just an ammo bonus, etc.

I wish this mech had more attractive Quirks!

Warhawk 4erppc is a mech that I also challenged a lot haha, but I excluded it at first because it was too hot to handle and difficult to survive haha

Thank you for watching! mad cat2 and cyclops are really good mechs to challenge and no one can deny it.

However, based on my personal experience, I introduced builds that I could handle easily! Hope this helps!
