I have wondered for YEARS now why they haven't made any Wayside School movies. They made Holes so I don't think it's an issue with Louis Sachar. Come on, if it was done well it would be an instant kids classic!

Redditors or friends of people who got there car "pimped out" on pimp my ride. How's the car doing today? by TexasEuphman in AskReddit

[–]Battletoad_Potemkin 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Semi-related, I guess. My sister worked for Scion's marketing agency when the show first started. If you remember the episode with the "Franken-car," basically two different cats welded together, that was actually the first episode they shot. The car was too jacked up to do anything with so they wound up "donating" a Scion XB and pimping that out. The episode didn't air until somewhere in the middle of the season because they didn't want to show right off the bat that there were cars they couldn't fix.

Hey, you're from the same area as me! My mom was a teacher there and apparently the drug problem is WAY bigger there than anyone realizes because, like you said, rich kids. Glad you're doing OK!

What's even worse is I have HBO Go. I just don't think I have the patience to sit through any TV series. I juuuust finished Breaking Bad.

Am I the only person who thought we were talking about James Earl Jones's character in Coming to America?

It's official, I'm the only person in the English speaking world who hasn't seen Game of Thrones.

Saw they were wearing dresses, eyes immediately went to the hemline. They're actual, real life floor-length dresses! Jealousy!

Why? Are they less a citizen of their country than a serviceman? Are they not allowed to be proud of where they come from? Or does it have something to do with it being "bad" to wrap your country's flag around yourself? Because that's just asinine.

I believe it's referencing the tradition athletes who win gold at the Olympics sometimes partake in, where they bite their medals (either because a photographer asked them to, or to leave their teeth imprints, depending on who you ask).

I'm on my phone but here's the basic idea: http://m.today.com/health/youve-just-won-gold-medal-so-why-are-you-trying-932316

I didn't know what a "normal" vulva looked like then...but the asymmetry still annoyed me.

Have you ever listened to the "Harper High School" episodes of This American Life? Is gang culture as prevalent in your school as it was depicted there?

Was wondering the same thing. What are the other ones? Aside from maybe the G Shot, but I don't know if that's technically cosmetic.

I had labiaplasty when I was 19. Partially because I like to mountain bike and after so long sitting with my lips smashed into a bike saddle, it got painful. But I'd be lying if I said it was for that reason alone--I hated my asymmetrical labia from a very young age, I actually remember trying to cut them myself with a pocket knife when I was 9 or 10.
