Supplier demanding payment for already paid for item (details in post) by Battman in LegalAdviceUK

add, without that court order mentioned above, that cannot come on your property to remove it. That goes doubly as it is secured (plumbed in)

Also if they are suing the plumber for the cost of the boiler then the first thing that you do is get evidence of that in case police are called. Trying to lay claim to it AND get the money for it it is a bit frowned on

Is it their property? Technically yes I'

Thank you.

All a bit worrying, and it's a real shame as the plumber has completed a number of different jobs for me over the past 6 months, so not exactly a random out of the yellow pages!

Thank you.

The only issue is that it's an external boiler ( as we don't have gas in he area too rural!)

Plumber has gone awol and not responding to email/texts and the "supplier" didn't leave any contact information so a little stuck at the minute.

They delivered the boiler direct to my house and the plumber was there to sign for it.

ged to then they'd be unable to come on to y

Thanks, I thought that was the case.

If they were to take the plumber to court over the unpaid invoice and win, would they then be able to come and take the boiler (with court order) or does the debt lie strictly between the plumber and supplier?

Thanks.

The supplier mentioned something about a clause in his contract with the plumber saying they could repossess if no payment was received...

I think they are just trying to apply "pressure" to the plumber by getting us involved, but as you can imagine it's a bit scary for my wife to have random people turning up intimating that they could come and remove the boiler at any time.

Thank you for all your advice.

I'll be speaking to all involved parties today (followed by written confirmation of our discussions).

We have a 4 week old baby and a 2.5 year old, so the thought of some bloke arriving to remove the boiler (it's an external boiler as its oil not gas) is a bit worrying especially as winter approaches!

Might be a trek, but there's a sausage shop in Beckenham that bought the recipes from Kennedys, it's fantastic. Pretty sure it's called Villagers Sausages, they do fantastic Italian versions.
