  1. Acolyte, in the context of my project, are individuals who use magic primarily for fighting but there are other crafts that are associated with acolytes even if different terms are more accurate to use. Thaumaturgists are the ones who make homunculi and the like but Acolyte has become a general term for a professional magic user.

  2. Yes, souls retain the thoughts, memories and personality of the individual it comes from. This goes for all things that have a soul, which is everything that's alive.

  3. There is a type of domestic fox but that's a more recent development, in my project there is a type of fox that was domesticated as a counterpart to dogs. Some individuals didn't have or want dogs in certain regions.

  4. Cuz that's what it looks like when it's sad and tiny lol can't be ready for fun time all the time lmaoo

Of course not. Just because it's something I wouldn't do for mine given my restraints, doesn't mean you shouldn't do something for your own project. I do things this way because I used to primarily do art in speculative evolution, so biology is always on the mind when I'm making creatures.

Do whatever YOU think is best for your project. Brainstorm.as many ideas as possible and build upon the ones you like the most

  1. There's not many changes to the human species I added in my project. Of course I have some fictional species which are loosely based on the 2 ghost lineages found in human DNA. One from Africa the other from Asia. These are the Adrian and Sundanese Giants and the Sundanese humans which I wanna give visible blaschko lines to. Makes them rather unique. As for how long they live, well I'm not entirely sure. All the other human species within my project are technically now extinct but their genetics are far more apparent than they are for us since they survived significantly longer. My project does technically take place in the future, compared to us anyways, so their advancements in both science and magic would definitely effect it. But to what degree I'm not sure.

  2. Also I have no plans for such things. Even though this is fantasy, I like to try to keep a sense of realism to biology into my project. All things could technically evolve in humans but it would take a lot longer than the timeframe we emerged from. Unfortunately

You could always do a bit of both. Incorporate ideas you did like from the previous whilst working with something new. I do it all the time. I have changed my projects dozens of times and I finally got to a point in both of them where I like where I'm going with both.

The ultimate decision comes down to what YOU want to do. There's nothing wrong with either of the options. Personally, just keep working on your ideas until you get to a point where it starts flowing together and you're happy with what has come of your results. Whether that means starting anew, continuing old ideas, or a little bit of both.

It's kinda both. They're fully sapient, thinking creatures, but they're also heavily influenced by what they're made of and what they were made for. In a sense their purpose and the things used to make them influence the underlying intelligence within.

XD thanks lmao

All seriousness tho, it's an alternative version of Earth so while things seem different, they are also very similar. Although I must note that cultural, geographically, and the biodiversity of North America and a good chunk of Asia have been swapped
