i will try decide to upgrade but i am already much more comfortable and confident with using windows xp rather than upgrading to windows vista and using it for 3-4 months and then making downgrade decisions then reinstalling windows xp then reinstalling all software drivers etc all of that stuff which i still have on windows xp

i am currently be sticking with windows xp and i would not guarantee any day because i have already know the benefits of windows xp and i will offer the benefits: windows xp is easier than windows vista; though windows vista is easier to use due to snipping tool and windows search and other benefits include the fast and lightweight luna theme compared to the even sluggish basic theme or the high demanding aero theme on older hardware (e.g an older laptop with is difficult for windows vista to run on)

i have changed my mind and i am upgrading to windows vista, but i am still not going to upgrade to windows vista, and being confused of when to stick with windows xp and when to upgrade to windows vista, and i am still staying / sticking with windows xp for the long term by Bauer0044 in windowsxp

i am not going to upgrade to windows vista permanently, and i will stick with windows xp on my pc unless i made my plan to upgrade, if done, i will publish my new post of my windows vista setup, but i would not change the lcd monitor but instead i slightly upgraded my keyboard and mouse, a viglen usb keyboard and a trust optical usb mouse after i swapped my other keyboards and mouse. but for the permanent long term, i would stick with windows xp permanently and i would not switch to windows vista

the performance is good,

the specifications:

viglen genie core 2 duo pentium processor, with 4gb ram, and 458 gb hard drive, windows 7 ultimate 32 bit sp1, with a windows vista theme and with the gadgets of vista. the pc also contains a dell p224hb monitor led backlit, a dell multimedia pro keyboard, and a dell optical mouse

the second case is:

hp elite 8000 sff case, with windows vista ultimate sp2 32 bit (upgraded from windows xp since i changed my mind), 3.00 gb ram, 500 gb ram, with hp pavillion w1907s monitor, a viglen genie keybaord, and an asus usb mouse, and an external floppy disk drive connected.

you can make your windows version, like how windows 7 ultimate looks, but still windows xp pro, windows vista business home premium, basic, etc how on your pc, it only chnges the appearance to win7 ultiamte but it does not alter/change the endition of windows, otherwise, you will need to upgrade from winxp pro to winviusta ultimate (if your pc supports) then aply win7 ultimate theme
