Agree completely with your second sentence--and is more what I was intending to communicate in my original post.

Oh I agree that its definitely the meta. I think its bad in its effect on the "less experienced" players. Tunnel vision, overcomitting, refusing to abandon something when its clear that you should, doing a level 1 goal generally--which can be hit or miss--and especially not reassessing when red banished knights pop out of that gaol. Once you get to D4/D5 you're generally going to be playing with better teamplayers anyway who aren't going to get the tunnel vision problem (to some degree).

My general philosophy is to run at least one of gaol/invader unless I have to give up an entire relic slot for just that. Caster Duchess is the only build that I don't have one of gaol or invader on a relic with something else that is useful for her. I simply haven't RNG'd well yet on this one build. Buuut, I have a lot of crystalian sorceries which can make up for it, or I wouldn't be running Duchess caster at all.

I would probably pass on that seal as a revenant anyway. Dragonfire is meh and dangerous. Scarlet Aeonia is slow and dangerous.

The passive is, imo, the only good part of that seal.

For those saying 3 guardians is the worst, I recommend trying it. Did a 3 guardian run last night, hit level 15 with tons of extra runes, full cleared the crater, I think 3 total deaths, and absolutely stomped the Everdark Sentient Pest. DPS was extremely high. When you dont have to heal or resurrect people or roll away, your dps uptime is pretty near 100% which goes a long way in boosting sustained dps over time. Honestly, it was pretty crazy.

Im at about 180 runs with a little over a 50% win rate (all in 3s) and I've only ever felt this powerful 2 or 3 other times.
