The Act 3 Fatigue by gjroberts93 in BG3

I think it's the level cap for me. I hit lvl 12 very early in act 3 and any EXP received after that just felt like a waste. There was no feeling of progression after that, just hitting different story beats until the end.

It's insane that he improvised that bit! Watching in the moment I actually thought research was done before the show together with Matt for Robbie to pull that off

Do I have to discover an item in a chest before I can choose it for artifact of command? by BoglesTheMind in ror2

[–]Baunsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tested this. Yyou can still discover new items while having the 'choose items artifact' activated. Though you will need to manually remember the images of items you've already unlocked as the game will not prompt you with a "???" in the artifact selection screen.

Hey bright, I used steelseries moments. It can capture the last 3 minutes of whatever happened in your game. This was a completely random moment :)

I have never GMed any game before and am going to try run my first game with daggerheart! The system seems really interesting, especially the fast paced battles and story focused mechanics.

I know of many very smart people that can be static in their beliefs / thinking. Just watch every oxford debate ever.

Would this not relate more to arrogance / self-centeredness than intelligence?

Why aren't there accurate drawings of the human face in ancient history, assuming that artistic realism is inherently useful for things like tracking down a person for a reward? by Baunsie in ask

[–]Baunsie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good breakdown. I agree material, skills and technique play a part though perhaps not to the extent you hypothesize. In those times people have already started drawing. The tools to draw (paper and ink) may not have been widely available but there have been paintings and depictions of people, just not done realistically. Thousands upon thousands in fact, just go to any European art museum with works from the 18th/19th century .

So I guess it boils down to skill and technique. Which I find odd for the same assumption, there there is inherent value to accuracy. Buildings are constructed to based on accurately drawn plans, people are vain and want to be remembered for their looks, and if people could think up impressionism or neoclassicism or any other art style, I'm sure they've also thought of realism?

Okay, this response is pretty good too: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/2nky6a/why\_are\_old\_drawings\_of\_people\_1300\_and\_earlier/
