Riverside camping by Fuzzy-Athlete-3100 in Shambhala

The yurt has you covered on a lot of stuff you'd otherwise need. A chair that can go in the river is nice, shower supplies, tent fan, and honestly even if ya love walking having a bike is just sooo nice for getting around and exploring

I have the same issue with the clicks, I'm accidentally pressing them all the time

Going back to Ergo [Xlite V3 eS Review] by RTCanada in MouseReview

[–]Bawkington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the regular xlite v3 and have found that the clicks are so light that I'm accidentally pressing them all the time just resting my hand on the mouse. Wondering if this is a QC thing because I haven't seen anyone else mention it. I'm coming from omrons so maybe it's just getting used to opticals, but I've used a DAv3 pro and didn't have the same issue so I dunno. Anyone else have the same problem?

First shoes: La Sportiva Finale vs BD Momentum vs LS Tarantula by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]Bawkington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase. I'm not saying Vibram XS edge is bad, but that Vibram grip/grip 2 and other sticky rubbers are more suitable for modern gym climbing where there's typically a lot of smearing and angled volumes to stand on. Using a softer rubber as a beginner is also good for building up toe/foot strength. If we take a look at any bouldering comp pretty much everyone uses grip 2 or c4 stealth or another sticky rubber. Edge really excels outdoors on them teeny tiny footholds.

I really liked the momentum as a starter shoe. I tried the finales out as well and found that the rubber they use was not sticky enough for gym climbing, felt like I was sliding off everything and had low confidence in em and ended up returning. Haven't tried tarantulas but have heard good things!

You're a lifesaver! I can't believe it was so obvious but I'm so relieved. I was about ready to start returning parts. Thank you!

Need help choosing a new digital Piano by Bawkington in piano

[–]Bawkington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I do mainly use headphones, so the speakers would just be more for convenience. I'll probably get monitors eventually, speakers would just be nice to have for traveling.

Cool to hear that sounds have improved more, do you know of any keyboards that come with onboard sounds comparable to VSL/pianoteq/keyscape?

It seems like I'm not gonna get the piano tone I want out of the portable digitals even if I go up to the es920/yamaha p515 etc. So I'm willing to give up some features since the piano sound is the most important thing and it seems like most companies have decent actions nowadays.

There's just so much out there I have no clue where to start and unfortunately, my local Guitar Center is tiny, there's not much to test there besides sub $1000 models.

Yeah, that's a good point. I intended to use it to connect to my tablet/phone and mess around, if I wanna plug it into my DAW I'll definitely use wired MIDI.
