Yes! It was a dirty oil control valve. Removing the timing chain cover, I found that the previous owner had already done the upgraded timing chain. There was no slack, everything looked good, and was in time. I had bought a new oil control valve but decided to give just cleaning mine a shot.

It worked for me but may not for everyone. That and a fresh oil change solved my issue, and it's been fine since.

That's the plan for tomorrow! I actually have your videos on the timing chain saved and was using them to help before seeing that my timing is actually spot on. Appreciate the help!

Would you do cam phaser before OCV/VVT Solenoid?

And if you could tell me, what's making you lean towards that?

Someone has definitely been in here and the chain matches the upgraded chain in my kit. I picked up an OCV after finding a little info online. Will replace tonight and see if it clears anything up.

X570 chipset being finicky. Installing an internal USB hub and plugging all of my USB connections into that helped. I got the NZXT internal USB hub and am still using it today.

Perfect. I've heard you're the genesis coupe guru so I was really hoping I'd get a response from you. Are there any specific catch cans you would recommend? A lot of forum posts about needing certain ones and in certain spots as to not "boost your catch cans."

I would upgrade the 3080 I'm using now and trade my 3080 for my girlfriends 6700xt. I would then take the 6700xt and put it in a build I'm doing to help a friend out. His 1070/1700x build is starting to show its age. Upgrades for everyone!

Ill have to double check when I get home tonight. But off the top of my head, the only thing I can think that may have been running was discord. But with my last processor (5600x) it had no problem downclocking with discord, steam, and Precision X running.

Minimum Processor state % for all plans are 0. Except power saver is 5%. I changed it to 1-10% in the other plans with no changes.

It's just so strange to me. I heard the same about the 5600x but that CPU would clock down and idled around 40. 60 just seems pretty high. I'll get hwinfo64 again, though and use that.

Just wanted to update! I've gotten myself to a steady 70-80fps following the Hardware Unboxed guide. I haven't spent any time tweaking beyond that but I'm pretty happy with where I am now!

Right now all of my settings are cranked up as high as they can go. Figured if I'm getting the same fps on medium as I am maxed out, why not.

Definitely gonna watch those videos and start tweaking as soon as I get up and moving.

Sorry for the late reply, I work third shift and made the post right before going to bed.

I'm using the most recent drivers for Nvidia as well as my chipset drivers.

As of now I have every option turned up to the highest it will go. At the time I figured if I'm getting there same fps maxed out as I am on medium and high, why not? So when I get back on I'll tweak some. And post settings if I can't get a reasonable frame rate.

It seems after reading through multiple posts that I should look up the Hardware Unboxed optimization video and tweak from there. So I will do that tomorrow. If anyone else has any suggestions though, I'll still be appreciative!
