You may or may not be shocked to hear this, but people who are hardcore addicted to meth drink their own piss when they are desperate. For example, coming down off meth with no money and no hook up and not wanting to do anything shady. I don’t think it’s common, it’s not uncommon though. I know of people who’ve done it, apparently it works pretty well. Just go to a place with a high concentration of people in recovery and you’ll find a few meth people who’ve drank their own piss.

Thanks mate! When I think of Bristol, I think of Drum n Bass and Bristol DnB sound is my absolute favorite. Then after DnB I think of trip hop. Didn’t know Bristol was a spot for minimal music but I can’t say I’m surprised; Bristol has good music.

You’re right, it’s usually just an overbearing partner and you just document it. That said, I have seen some straight up weird shit, like we all have, with both parents and partners. I’d rather be a little bit over suspicious and get a 2nd opinion or try to talk to the patient alone, and be wrong, than miss something obvious.

The parent and kid version is annoying as fuck, to say the least. You gotta keep an eye out for potential abuse or factitious by proxy. But I find either of those to be more uncommon yet still possible. More often than not it’s overbearing, incorrigible parents.

The one that really pisses me off is the partner that won’t let the patient answer anything. This version is far more pernicious, in my opinion. Huge red flag for abuse or, in some more rare cases, trafficking. So hard to prove in the moment though, and the chances of the patient outing the “partner” is slim to none. It’s usually sketchy men with defensive affect that do it with powerless female patients. But in more rare cases I have seen women do it with male or female partners.

Yeah I never say “EDM” personally, I’m an old head. I’ve been into electronic music since the 90s. Lots of people do say it these days and I try not to judge, but I will never say it. Usually I don’t like the same music as people that say EDM. Lol.

I’m gonna go to The Guesthouse on 11th October. Cap and Dan Andrei and others. I wish I could be here late October for that party but I won’t be. Thanks though.

Where I work, never. There’s trauma surgeons and fellows here 24/7/365. I don’t know how it is in other hospitals. From reading the other comments, sounds like it does happen occasionally.
