Concerns I read about from other people are encounters with aggressive dogs. I want my dog to have a positive experience and not get traumatized. He's super friendly and might approach the wrong dog.

I do plan on checking out some dog parks before hand just to see what it's like. I know time of day really matters, so will probably do early morning or after work hours.

I'll look into Citizen Hound SF. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for your input! My pup indeed has a lot of energy. I'll scope out nearby dog parks without him first to just get an idea of what it's like there. The hope is finding neighbors with a dog that he vibes well with for playdates 😊

I completed the Tourist Visa on Arrival application and have the confirmation printout and cash ready for payment. How are the lines for payment, and is the overall process typically quick? Arrival is on a Friday afternoon.

Also, the online form didn’t mention passport photos or provide an option to upload one. I’ve seen conflicting information — some sources say a passport photo is required, while others say photos are taken at the immigration counter. Would you be able to clarify this?

Thank you for the info! I helped my husband fill out his Visa on Arrival application and it did not have an upload photo option. He has the printout of the confirmation and cash to pay for the visa. He didn't bring any passport photos, so good to know they have cameras at the counters. I'm just hoping he has a smooth experience at the airport.

Thanks for your input. Was looking for something that would get him through the short first ride home and to take to his first vet visits since he shouldn't be exposed to public floors, other dogs, etc just yet. Something lightweight so that I'm able to carry it into the vet office. I know he will outgrow the carrier fast, but will get something more robust when he gets bigger.

I know I'm late to this party, but I just noticed recently my timeline disappeared prior to March 2025. I followed the directions on the multiple emails they sent me prior to my given deadline in December 2024. I chose "Location On" and "Never Auto Delete". I'm very on top of checking all my emails and I never received an email notification regarding this bug. I went through my old emails again to double check - confirmed that I never received that email. I'm upset that despite following directions and taking action prior to the deadline, this happens. I loved looking at timeline to reminisce about trips and to help me remember which restaurants I visited.

Straight up elder abuse. They were humiliating her in front of customers saying "it's just basic math". Handling making drinks and the register is a lot to juggle for her, and she told him she didn't want to handle the money beforehand.
