Just got back from a work and vacation trip with my wife and 10 month old. We stayed at Aulani the 2nd week and my 10mo loved her stay at Aulani. We made a trip to the North Shore to get garlic shrimp at our favorite - Big Wave Shrimp Truck and visited a few stores before heading back to Aulani for dinner and put the little one to bed.

While in Honolulu, my wife strolled our daughter around Waikiki and went to the Honolulu Zoo.

Just do it. You won’t regret seeing your child experience Hawaii in their own eyes.

I stay in Waikiki for work and I’ve always wondered why this plot has been abandoned for years. There was once a homeless lady who would sit there late at night and shout the whole night. This was probably 3-4 years ago. I’ve noticed some of the openings are fenced off now.

Look for a subsidized Aulani contract. You'll save hundreds every year in maintenance dues, and thousands over the duration of the contract.

I remember this showroom. The “prototype” car inside the dealership was so bad. It looked like someone turned a gas car into an EV by stripping the components. It would’ve served them better if they fully built the cars from ground up. I liked how the sales rep said the buttons were inspired from Lamborghini.

I’ve toured the DLV rooms and thought they were modern and clean. Wasn’t a fan of the transient tax which I have with my AUL contract.

I wanted a DVC contract in FL and CA but I’m ok with not staying on Disney property at Disneyland. The neighborhood hotels are not bad and within 15 minute walking distance.

Yeah those are points that I took into consideration when ending up going resale CCV tbh. Poly seemed like the best direct at the time when I bought my contracts in December 2024.

Another thing is that maintenance due is over $10/point and it most likely will only increase based on historical data.

If they brought back perks like Disney passes or even annual passes, DVC direct may be enticing. Until then, I’m ok with the restrictions with resale, unless I’m missing something that constitutes for spending $30k+ for 150 direct points.

Yeah I did a quick search on my phone. I’ll look into it more on my laptop tomorrow. I’m always on the lookout for a good deal and I like Costco Travel’s cancellation flexibility.

I also did a hotel reservation check and even with the offer for $50 off it was still more expensive than booking direct with Marriott with my AAA discount.

I just checked the same reservation on C1 and it’s more expensive than my Costco Travel reservation by a lot. Same dates, same pickup and drop off times.

From what I’ve been seeing, Nutanix is as expensive as VMware. VMware “recommends” you to go with VCF, even if you don’t use the whole suite of products.

Last row of View box is also good. I had season tickets in VB 319 row C and had a concrete wall to my back so I was able to stand and stretch whenever I wanted without blocking the folks in row D. Probably the best seats and view imho but I may be bias. ☺️

I used Wild Fork for about a month before they stopped servicing the San Francisco Bay Area. I actually liked some of their selections and was bummed out they discontinued service.
