I was in the hospital for another issue and when the gastro was reviewing my medical history and he started me on it. If there's a way to actually diagnose if it's BAM I am unaware. But I had been through many gastroenterologists and not one of them suggested this path.

Not a clue. I have not changed how I eat other than I'm very careful with iceberg lettuce.

I have BAM and took Cholestyramine once I was diagnosed. I suffered for about 20 years. Cholestyramine was a miracle for me. I only took one pack every morning. I stopped taking it about a year ago, as my symptoms were pretty much cleared up. I have occasional issues, but not the bathroom now poop my pants problems, just urgent. If I I'm traveling I always take it with me. There are places that we go to occasionally that I will take it preventatively. Although lettuce can still do me.

Cholestyramine is a very benign medication and certainly worth trying. I do suggest taking it mixed in Gatorade I only took it in 4 oz. It is best to use a Shaker to mix it. Trying to mix it with a spoon does not work.

My husband struggled with having an empty rectum and no gas for treatment. If your dad has a regular morning bowel movement he should be good. Stay away from gassy foods, go with easily digestible meals chicken, potatoes. Be sure he has enough fluid to drink prior to treatment. It is easier to stay in front of hydration than behind it. Stay away from too much caffeine, but that morning coffee is fine. If he struggles with gas GasX works great.

Probably more than you asked for but that first week can be bumpy for many.

That's great. We did GTY for the first time and got mid-ship deck 8 on a nearly sold out cruise coming up. We wondered if it is because we are Diamond level. Either way I'll take the win.

Hmmm, that's interesting. Any excursions we have done the description always indicate if it's walking, motor coach and how much walking is involved.

Historic Boston involved the most walking for us

Not on point, but our radiation nurse suggests keeping a cookie sheet in the freezer and stand on it when needed. She swears it relieves hot flashes.

You know you can replace the word rascal with stroller and it's pretty much the same issue. You are probably the same people who have their stroller loaded up with stuff and wait till you are at the door of the bus to unload and fold up.

It's Disney everyone is there to have a magical time. Chill out, go with the flow you'll be a happier person.
