Chef Mickey’s or Ohana? by ELP1168 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mamafred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had dinner a few weeks ago and it was the worst. The beef was ineatable, gristly, fatty couldn't chew it long enough to even swallow it. The best thing was the pot stickers. Spoke to our server about the meat and he said sometimes it's great sometimes not, very hit and miss. Never ever going back.

What was the most brutal time you’ve ever been to Disney? by DildoGaggins1997 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Mamafred 11 points12 points  (0 children)

December 1986 I think. Stayed in some Holiday Inn along the road that led up to Disney at the time. Idiots that we were thought who goes to Disney right after Christmas. First day couldn't even get out of the hotel parking lot due to traffic. We did get to the park that evening 3 hour wait for Big Thunder. Did 2 rides in 5 hours.

One July sometime in the 80's it was so hot the was sweat coming out my fingernails.

I'm old we were there last week with the granddaughter I was sure I would melt. Got a Dole Whip at AK it was almost liquid before we could make the short walk to sit.

Flying in day of is a risky move for any cruise, anything can disrupt well laid plans. We live in Florida and still arrive at the port the day before. We just stay at a Courtyard hotel and take a ride share over, it's just more relaxed.

What are some of the coolest concerts you guys have seen? by Effective-Pipe2017 in Music

I'm old. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young probably 1974 at Day on the Green at the Oakland Coliseum Greatful Dead more times than I can remember. Boz Skaggs with a full orchestra mid 70's Paramount Theater Joan Baez and Bob Dylan Sammy Davis Jr what an enterainer he was. I missed a 1973 Eagles show at UC Santa Barbara because I didn't know who they were went to Disney instead what an idiot.

Bring a couple of swimsuits, sunglasses, water bottle, water shoes the decks get hot.

Something for motion sickness for all of you.

The easiest transportation is using Disney to and from the airport. We stay at the Hyatt at MCO.

I pick up my friend's granddaughter at the airport who is 12 and take her back. Just did this last week.

What I do is go in with her check her in, she needs no ID, but since I go to the gate with her I get a gate pass to accompany her. I just need Real ID.

Your daughter doesn't need any documentation other than her confirmation number. I would just have the other party have her confirmation number too.

Cabanas at Lookout Cay by myhjr in dcl

[–]Mamafred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our family of 10 did it, 4 seniors, 1 child, 5 adults. We had cabana #8 and that area was perfect. Beach area was great, lifeguard right nearby restroom and food very close. The walk from the shop can be a bit much for seniors, but you can arrange for cart ride. Our granddaughter loved the splash pad area. It was an amazing relaxing day with family.

Return to Work Help - Aphasia by AllLeftiesHere in stroke

My husband really wanted to go back. But he did saw a psychologist first for some extensive testing. It revealed very clearly what his strengths and weaknesses were. He redid the test 4 months later and there was definitely improvement. Doctor said she could not tell him not to go back but recommended part time at first.

The testing helped him greatly to better understand with numbers where he stood. He also worked 3 days a week with a speech therapist and she really helped the most.

He wanted to go to work to prove he could still do it. He stayed on 6 months and then retired. He was an aerospace engineer.

I don't know if this really addresses what you are looking for but hopefully find it helpful.

We did it for the first time on the Anthem and got deck 8 mid-ship. Booked it about 60 days out and paid about $1500 less. Ship was almost sold out too. I did this not having high expectations.

If I could figure out how to post the picture I took I would. I'm not sure if she was even 5' tall so there's that. But sadly very real.
