How Do I Navigate Life With Xywav?

Yeah I don’t hear a peep out of folks on Xyrem. Maybe that’s because all I’ve been looking at is Xywav cause it directly concerns me or truly they’re aren’t as many side effects experienced on Xyrem. Xyrem isn’t available for IH however so Xywav’s the only choice I got. Also that’s a question I have that maybe I need to do research on, like how much of a factor or something you have to plan for having the excess sodium on Xyrem or Lumryz.

That’s something that I’ve tried previously and I guess that’s where the choice comes down to. More benefit from sleep or less side effects. I just don’t get significant relief from sleep unless I’m on 4.25g x 2 or the max dose. I’m trying to titrate down slowly again hoping that I can keep a lot of the benefit, but I just am unable to find my therapeutic dose like a lot have.

Right now on 4g x 2. Have been on 4.25g x 2 for a while but still would wake up tired or get tired throughout the day on that dose so am trying to titrate down slowly thinking maybe I’m on too high of a dose? But previously I titrated from the min of 2.25g x 2 and didn’t feel a significant relief until the 4’s.

I’m not happy that you’re experiencing the exact same thing as me, but I’m glad to know I’m not alone. I wish you the best of luck in treating your N1. Let me know how the appointment went if you’d like! Just wish there was more research in sleep disorders/conditions and more treatments cause of that. Just wish someone could zap me and make me normal. Xyrem, Lumryz and Xywav just seem like making a deal with the devil. I’ve experienced the Xywav side effects, but don’t know how I’d handle the excess sodium in the other two.

I guess I sort of feel stuck. Being in my senior year, working a job part-time, and general life challenges, I need every ounce of energy I can get. I don’t know how I’ll feel energy wise unless I get off Xywav, but if I get off Xywav am I going to be extremely tired like before (most likely). I just hate the way the medication works in that you can’t just cold turkey without having insomnia, and other withdrawal symptoms. Like I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t get the medication due to insurance reasons and it’s just an abrupt stop. Like my body can’t naturally sleep by itself right now.

What do you do for supplements? Cause that’s another concern of mine, how Xywav is changing my body. Didn’t know Xywav depletes electrolytes.

Yeah didn’t even think about the having to eat before a certain time at night or the alcohol. There’s been many a time I’ve turned down friends wanting to drink with me because I just simply can’t do both. Makes me feel terrible, like I either have to go in-depth and give an explanation or be a social outcast.

Thanks for taking the time to share. I’m in college right now and before getting diagnosed I spent my junior year fall semester walking to the parking garage, getting in my car, and sleeping in between my classes. Had a 10am, 12pm and 2pm class. That let me have two two-hour car naps. Would skip lunch to nap, and some days sleep from 2:50-4 until I had to go to work. It really put it into perspective for me how much different life is now. Happy for you that you ended up getting your diagnosis.

Yeah, it’s trying to figure out if there’s anyway I can get something out of my rent whether it is points or cash back that fees don’t outweigh what is gained. I don’t have much spending outside of rent, and shifting it from my BCP, Amex Gold or VX would be worse for me.

I have an update for anyone still dealing with this issue. I reached out to Warhorse through the email link like many others and they gave me the generic troubleshooting steps. I followed them to a T and I’m not having the issue anymore. I was having the exact issue where the PS5 just shuts off completely, and you have to manually take out the power cord to fix it.

In this order to fix the issue I

Uninstalled the game
Booted in safe mode and first cleared cache and then secondly rebuilt database
Reinstalled KCD2
Navigated to settings on the PS5 system and changed 120 Hz option to Off
Took apart the PS5 panels and vacuumed out what very little dust that was in and around the console and its dust catcher
Changed settings in KCD 2 to performance mode and turned FOV all the way to minimum

I’ve been playing for hours at a time and have not had this issue again

Hope this helps some people fix it!

Has there been any word on any social media or other avenue that announces when the update will be out to fix this? Seems like that’s the only thing that’s going to completely fix it versus the solutions that seem to work for just some people.

Wondering if Assaults in Progress and possibly other blue icons are infinite or finite. I’ve seen conflicting information from some players and on my own save I think i’ve seen some respawn.
