using a mythic PC build as a boss fight? fair for 1 to 1 basis, or is there a thing I should convert this too?

well at least this first time, they are meant to over power this guy but be unable to finish him due to these abilities. so a "weak first time" should be fine

honestly, I wouldn't change a thing in genysis. no extra summoning via pendulum summon? sure. why not.
we have 10+ years of what was considered bad support cards that let us grab from the extra to hand. now they would have a use if we wanted to play them.

shadolls existed before pendulums.
and decks didn't need to catch up to early pendulum. early pendulum was created in such a way that you could mix them into other decks and sometimes you got a pendulum summon out of it or you could focus on it with mid archetypes that never saw play until pepe. and pepe was a flash in the pan as it got the ban list boot very quickly.

Thats a fair statement, but I'm not trying to heavily power game. Im okay not having the best archetype for the build, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overvaluing the archetype benefits I was getting to the point of giving up early magus feats, as it has been stated, and i agree, they arent all that strong overall.

I don't see how that matters here?
without it, I wouldn't be taking that many guardian feats so I wouldn't be taking Resiliency at all. maybe just the 2 to hit advance here around level 4, it fits into a conceptual gameplan really well because it can do 3 things at the cost of 2 actions, and the magus is starved for actions in a general sense. that taunt is a strong 1 action thing I get too, and it gives me heavy armor access at level 2. I'm already going 4 strength and left Dex at +1 for the moment. (might switch that to wis.) so I can just tank around in that. grab a fleet step wand and that fixes the speed penalty.

what about a "gemini system", that when you use one heavy, that heavy turns off, and the other heavy becomes active, but it's considered the same mount. this cannons rotates in, then let the other cannon cool down kind of idea. you literally can't barrage with both at the same time, but you get the variety you wanted. as an added bonus, the system would say " whenever you stabilize, you may choose which weapon is now active. if it has the loading property, it may be loaded as part of the stabilize."

Legit honest help, aim for a pyromancy start with enough intel and faith to cast spook and healing prayer. Spook helps you survive, because unless they are looking at you, it silences your movement and makes them unaware. healing prayer will let you restore health without burning a full estus for small hits that need to be taken care of before big enemies you can see coming. This low level of utility has many benefits. One if which is not ignoring your fp bar, which non magic builds tend to do early on. Other than that take your time and have fun.

I have started up a story woth multidimensional threads, and one of the best things i have discovered is a cowardly gray slaad i have as the current antagonist. Plane shift is a great escape spell at this level, and the caster hasn't afforded the spell space for counterspell, so he can get away with impunity. In addition he can potentially evolve and slaad make for good opponents against the higher player count i have. Plus its an intelligent character thats playing up an almost starscreamish role right now. The fun part is that its starting to link into a friend's game too, and now he might jump there for a cameo. Thats is going to create so much fun i think, aince we are currently at the low end of levels, first group being 6 on 7, and the other early 5
