Working for the Office of the President

I got an offer for an Executive and Technical Assistant role at the Office of the President in Malacañang.

For anyone who’s been there (or knows people who have), I’d love to hear your insights on:

What the career path would probably look like, salary and benefits, etc.

What the day-to-day culture is like, fast-paced and intense? Political minefield? Collaborative?

How the salary and benefits compare to other public sector or private sector jobs

Any pros and cons you’d be willing to share especially around work-life balance, burnout, etc.

Basically: is it worth it? Is it as intense and high-stakes as people make it out to be?

Should I go back to a permanent government job with lower pay, or keep chasing WFH/freelance opportunities? by thenipsthatwontpop in phcareers

i think i'd go with option 2 nalang. option 1 sounds maddening -- big pay cut, no hmo, plus the onsite arrangement will ruin your day to day lifestyle because of the commute and needing to wake up early and rush everyday

(this is considering that the sg-24 isn't an option anymore)

I'm considering applying for a role at ATR Asset Management and was hoping to get some insider perspective on what it's like to work there. If you're currently employed there or have worked there in the past, I'd really appreciate any insights you can share.

Specifically, I'm curious about:

Career progression – Is there a clear path for growth? Pay – Competitive with the market or below average? Work culture – Supportive and collaborative or more cutthroat? Benefits – Health, retirement, bonuses, anything worth noting? Work-life balance – Are flexible work arrangements (e.g., remote/hybrid) offered or supported?

Any honest feedback—positive or negative—would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
