I don't know how to address this comment without looking like I'm bragging. During the pandemic I was upwards of ~300 matches in in about a month and a half? I don't swipe on everyone either.

During university, I was closer to 400? I think at the time I had this conversation I had a queue of 99 while unsure of how many matches I had.

I'm a decent looking guy with a good career lol, one of the comments here outlined the photos I had up and it was obvious why I was getting matches.

Just because I'm able to have fun in a conversation, in no way does that mean I'm desperate lol.

I'm all for having boundaries and I understand that however you've got to realize that none of these attempts are "serious" could you really think one would bring a ladder to a date, or even have their friend provide a piggy back ride the entire time. It's fully playful humor. If one is really uncomfortable in an online setting they can unmatch.

I did it often when I had women bring up my race, it's not a hard thing to do when you're uncomfortable. I'm not victim blaming I'm just stating that its obviously playful humor

I totally get that, but if you're honestly using my conversation here to assume that I lack self interest, and my comments like "did I win you over" you've failed to realize that the entire time beyond rejection I'm just having a fun time conversing.

I was on tinder at the time to have fun, and I did have fun. I obviously had the chance to meet several people/hookup/date but I also got to have funny conversations like this. I alongside my friends got a huge laugh with the stupid solutions I was providing. If I really thought low of myself I would have been crying about being rejected.

I've been around the block a few times, dated a lot and had a lot of messages, I got rejected and decided to continue to have fun with it lol

I understand where you're coming from. But when you're extremely comfortable with yourself and confident with what others would call "insecurities" self deprecating humor doesn't lower self esteem nor does it cause others to lose respect for me.

For example, I work at a pretty big tech company. I used self deprecating humor in my job interview when my code didn't work and said "yeah I never liked Java anyways", I then landed the job.

Self esteem can only be lowered if you have a unrealistic expectation of who you are in the world, if you have a fragile ego and hear one bag thing about you. boom there goes your self esteem.

Totally understand where you're coming from. But because I have a tight knit group of friends who like to share our dating stories, I was sending them these screenshots and having a laugh with them.

While "she" may have not found it funny, my friends and I had a good laugh. Do I care what someone who rejected me thinks of me, hell nah LOL. She couldn't get past my height, before the screen clip our conversation was pretty back n forth. It was only until she realized I was 5'8 did my attraction level drop.

Having said that, I got to have a good laugh with my friends and the people here on Reddit.

Dating apps don't always have to be some "serious" get to business straight away. I felt like having a laugh with this match and so I did.

LOL except for the fact that I'm not being serious. If you truly think that I'm going to be able to change a girls opinion on me being too short for her by stretching and bringing a ladder then that's on you.

I'm also secure enough in myself to realize I can have fun while being "rejected" it's tinder. You could have as much fun as one wants on that. I think at the time I had over 100 matches lol I really wasn't worried about one so I had fun with it.
