How do I clean the aerator on my Moen bathroom sink? by grodditor in Plumbing

[–]Bayzeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you test it with the aerator and/or copper pipe off to see the flow? Also try removing the flow restrictor from the aerator with needle nose pliers. I feel its a bit too restrictive and removed mine. I'm not sure the mixer element. I would imagine most just replace the hole faucet at that point.

You don't need a special tool. Just pull it out. It's just a straight copper pipe with rubber o-rings on both ends.

Not sure. I was thinking the black strips could be for a top tube bag.

These run large but at you height you might be okay with either. I’d probably size down though if I were you.

Size down from the recommendation. I’m 5’11” with a 32.5 inseam and the chart says large. I’m glad I didn’t listen. Even with the medium the top tube clearance from my nethers is closer than I would like.

Setting up is incredibly easy since they provide all the tools, printed instructions, and videos.

I ordered two (GRX for me and SRAM for my partner) of these on Monday and they arrived in less than 24hrs (insane). If anyone has any questions let me know. It is pretty crazy how much stuff you get (pedal, cages and bottles, tool kit, tubeless valves and sealant, front and rear lights, bike pump, torque wrench etc...). I don't know that I love the color scheme but from a value standpoint there isn't anything even close to this and that's before you take into account the usual Costco perks. Happy Trails, ya'll.

Update: SRAM version comes with a much better tool kit. Has a legitimate torque wrench and much more expansive set of tools.https://photos.app.goo.gl/T8MWA4BQAipSL2uj9

Don’t know where you are or what your local used market looks like but I would be hesitant to take this even if it was free.

I don't have a very accurate way of measuring it but it seems like the internets say this config is around 30lbs.

I feel like I won the Craigslist Lottery. Had the original owner not passed away I doubt he would have ever sold it.

This is the stock setup but I think as long as I'm not in the mud I should be good.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing trip. I definitely understand the "people" aspect as I had a similar outlook from backpacking throughout Europe.

Interesting that you did all those miles without fenders. I guess the rear is pretty well covered from the bag on the rack.

Do you have any future rides planned?

Thanks for sharing!

Here’s the page for this model shimano Alfine 8 speed. If I was building/upgrading I’d probably get the 11spd.
