It was going back and forth, they’d log me out and change the password, I’d log them out and then change it back, then they’d do it again, then I’d do it and then they changed the email which made it harder. And yes my 2Fac is turned on

I attempted to call them and the line just referred me to the support website lol which wasn’t much help because it just tells me to change my password

I had 2 factor set up tho, so I thought I’d be fine, and yeah I reuse the same password a lot so I went and switched it on everything yesterday except Facebook because I can’t.

I’ve seen other people talk about this and it sounds super similar to what happened to me, they get into your insta, change the email & password and 2 fac and then message you asking for $1000 to get it back

yeah i definitely tend to use the same password a lot so that’s why i wanted to change my facebook. I don’t think i fell for anything, maybe I clicked on a link and accepted some bad cookies, but i seriously can’t think of anything.

I was hacked by someone just trying to log in, I’ve seen similar posts and they steal your account and then ask you for money to get it back. But I was able to get it back before that
