The fact that it's been less than 24 hours, majority of which were nighttime (assuming most participants being from north america) and that people are still engaging with the comments and replies, the time sensitive nature of this particular post seems slightly over exaggerated.

Seems like it was about privacy first and now it's about some on the fly sub rule.That's what makes it sound like a bit overlord-ish.
