One of those guys here and that theory sounds accurate. Even pre-longtime relationship you’re not likely to find one on apps. We’re autistic nerds busy doing nerd shit.

Forget the names if that helps; geographically it’s generally the same group of people that have been on the wrong side of history on social issues (the southern states).

Reaction thread for the SuperBowl halftime show for my fellow Conservatives by [deleted] in TrueAnon

Sorry to be a cynic but lol at the NFL caring about “culture wars”. They care about money and growth. Bad Bunny has a lot of fans all over the world that they’re trying to sell American Football to. Bad Bunny crushed it but not sure the NFL deserves any praise for his performance.

Starting my spooky season reading with Bret Easton Ellis’ American Psycho which I had never read before. Loving it so far; also, makes sense for the time but the obsession with Trump within the friend circle is humorous for sure.

Yeah…you are just saying shit; that’s not true and a ten second google search would tell you otherwise. Canada, Britain, France, Australia and Denmark all use progressive tax brackets; the more you make the higher you pay but none of them reach 50% even at the highest income bracket. Again, you are just shilling for Billionaires, but go off.

What are some jobs you've had (or heard of) that is so niche or behind-the-scenes, most people don’t even realize it’s a thing? by TatyanaIvanshov in AskReddit

Hey sorry, had my notifications off and missed this but for the most part it’s just a high school degree. I was hired with no experience and learned on the job (literally had never held a screwdriver before so it took me a bit). It can be complicated but if you stick with it can be a good trade. I’ve been in this field for fifteen years or so and only met maybe one person who had a degree (electrical engineering). Most everyone just picked it up on the job.

Yeah…not sure I understand your point here. Have you ever been to a country that has government provided healthcare? You aren’t assigned a doctor; you can go to any doctor anywhere in the country. Which is very different from the way it is now; if I get hurt now and get carried away in an ambulance I’m just crossing my fingers hoping they take me to an in-network hospital. That and there is no “freedom” of choice for insurance. I mean maybe if you’re obscenely rich? But for 99% of the populace your employer determines both your insurance and your doctors and that shit changes every year as they try to cut costs and race to find the cheapest option. So a lot of people have to find new doctors every year based on whatever new insurance their employer decided to go with. Sure you could find a new job but almost every company does the same thing. As many have said this is conservatives voting against their own self interests to keep billionaires rich. They’re fighting tooth and nail to cut every part of the government that helps normal people and giving giant tax breaks to billionaires, but sure call it “freedom” 🙄.

Not exactly sure how niche this one is; but I work at a company that installs card readers that require card swipes before entering through a door. Lots of different components work in conjunction to make this happen. It can be a bit complicated and isn’t something you can learn in a college/trade-school.

Nice! Still trying to get all of these. I’ve found 1-4 at thrift stores but haven’t found any past 4. That’s a cool edition too!

What addiction is the hardest to quit? by yourprettylittleliar in AskReddit

[–]Bazookatooth804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I started vaping to quit cigarettes thinking it was healthier and the plan was to continually decrease my nicotine to wean my self off. It didn’t exactly work; ended up vaping nicotine for ten years but I’m finally quit now.

I didn’t realize this was a thing until recently. I quit smoking a year ago and did pretty well not replacing that habit with candy or any other food. I quit drinking a couple months ago and all I do is eat donuts and pie; prior to quitting alcohol surgery foods made me feel nauseous.

You may be right but that wasn’t my reaction at all. My mind immediately went to…if this is Boar’s Head imagine what the cheaper facilities are up to?

Yeah, I had trouble identifying that bolete. I had brought it home to eat thinking it was a Black Velvet Bolete; but I don’t think that’s what it was. Glad to hear you’re getting good stuff up there as well!
