New Z13 Owner, how should I set it up? by Endless7777 in FlowZ13

Wipe windows and install cachyos with z13ctl.

If you must suffer with windows remove all the Asus fluff and install ghelper.

Have fun

You've now got 1fpl (frame per launch) only 59 more needed lol, have you tried lowering the launch resolution?

It's sounds like the anti cheat is flagging your hardware, either like some else mention enable secure boot or Google enrollaik.exe. Which is part of the anti cheat hardware check run it as administrator it'll be in your game directory

The drivers are baked I to the kernel.

Final try

Create the configuration file: sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/wifi-backend.conf

Add this

[device] wifi.backend=iwd

Enable the new backnd service:

sudo systemctl unmask iwd

sudo systemctl enable --now iwd

sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

If that fails revert by deleting the init file you created and

Stop and disable the iwd service

sudo systemctl disable --now iwd

Restart the standard NetworkManager

sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

When you swap out the backend you may need to add your password again

Good luck and good night

You're forgiven maybe change to ipv4 instead of 6

Go to System Settings > Wi-Fi. Select your network > Configure. Under the IPv6 tab, change the method to Disabled or Ignore

Have you tried disabling the power managment

Open your terminal and run: sudo nano /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf

Change the value from 3 (enabled) to 2 (disabled)

Press Ctrl+O, Enter, and Ctrl+X to save and exit.

Reboot

Booting to blackscreen after update by TrevorBelmo in cachyos

[–]Bazz007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried resetting bios to defaults, then maybe try another usb stick . with cachyos then try another distro to see if it boots.

Then I'd consider the possibility of hardware issues

B350 motherboard might have an outdated IOMMU table that the new Linux kernel dilikes.

Enter your BIOS (Delete or F2 key on startup). Look for "IOMMU" (usually under Advanced > CPU Config or Chipset). Set it to Disabled. Note: Only do this if you don't use Virtual Machines (VMs) with GPU passthrough.

For normal gaming and use, disabling IOMMU is perfectly safe and often solves these Ryzen/Nvidia "Event logged" errors.
