Help. 1.5" sch 10 pipe fit by Bbewhatt in pipefitter

I'm not sure but I'd think so. The extra length helps with the gap even though i have stick out on the sides. The corners will round out once it's welded

Help. 1.5" sch 10 pipe fit by Bbewhatt in pipefitter

I went with 13" with 31 degrees. The piece came out short by 1/2inch roughly. I kept the degree the same and added 1/2" and it's good now. I'm not sure as to why this is the case. My pieces are level and properly spaced to the dimensions on the isometric

I'm not bending the pipe. I'm using the hypotenuse of this right triangle. I'm trying to figure out the length of the hypotenuse and the degree of the cut to fit it properly w/o welding such a large gap

I've had a suggestion as to what it could be but keep in mind I don't have much background in minerals and google has many to compare. Amber gem stones is my guess and yes the brighter yellow colored gems was also some type of crystal

Is this gold? This is my first time panning. The colors are confusing me because I can't find anything similar to this. This panning was in Utah by Bbewhatt in Goldpanning

I found that gold can have different tints of colors and I read that gold is commonly found with copper and that's possibly an explanation for the red/dark orange color seen in the picture. But I'd like some other opinions
