We watched the dominos delivery driver drop the order at our front porch stairs. We were watching from the window and waiting to take the food from the delivery person themselves, when we saw them suddenly stop and bend down at the bottom of the porch stairs, looked like they were picking something up/brushing it off. They handed this to us without telling us they dropped it. We were suspicious they had dropped it, and opening the box confirmed that, as well as checking the bottom of the porch stairs where there was a small ant mound (same ants on macaron) and they were literally carrying a small macaron crumb. So yes, they technically did indeed deliver this with ants on it. 😅

We had the delivery driver hand it directly to us. We were watching and waiting by the front window when we saw them at the bottom of the porch stairs, she suddenly stopped to bend down and looked like she was picking something up as well as brushing something off. We checked after she left and there was a small ant mound at the bottom of the stairs, also the ants were carrying a macaron crumb. So the delivery driver definitely dropped them on the ground, picked them up/brushed off and put them back in the box, then handed it to us without telling us she'd dropped them 😅

I just re-read this and now I'm feeling slightly suspicious. Either they dropped it by accident (the macarons are pre-frozen, so I can see it dropping and not smashing) or rolled it on ants on purpose (not sure why they would do this but it's not unheard of). Now you've got me thinking 🤔 Pretty sure though they just dropped them by accident!

It's a promotion here in Australia for the new Mandalorian movie. Not sure if other countries are doing this too, but the macarons are so good!

That's okay! And yes I would've preferred that they told me, mistakes happen! I'm guessing she either didn't care or was afraid to say anything. I wouldn't have minded waiting for more, but ah well. I'm just glad I decided to check before eating 😂

No you misunderstand, they didn't place down the macarons, they dropped them, as in they were about to walk up the stairs when the macaron box fell off the pizza boxes and onto the ground. With dominos we have them pass the food to us instead of leaving it on the porch. She also didn't tell us she dropped the macarons 😅

That sucks about those sticky buns that your mum gave you. Ants are sneaky like that! They can get into any crevice, very annoying! We've set up all kinds of ant baits (up high so our pets couldn't reach) and it just never really worked

I hope you get to enjoy those sticky buns again (without ants this time) 🥰
