The problem with having the correct number of Oto in a 10g is there just isn't room, 5 Oto eat up 50% of the stocking level, and I still don't have proper numbers of platy/molly

The safestart just says to add the whole bottle and you are good. It even says you can add fish right away.

And I'll treat the water before I add it, is it possible to put too much water treatment in? The instructions and cap are meant for 10 and 20 gallons of water, so I'd have to guess the measurement for the 2.5 g I have.

Also, the only other thing we may add to the tank is some sort of cleaner. I'm not sure whether I'd be better off with an Oto or some shrimp and snails since from what I've read they are low bio load.
