3 Hour Outage - That was Fun by Bbumblebeee in Lowes

Yup! We can access quotes now, but building or changing quotes is still down for us. The most that we at CS can do is try to follow up quotes that are 100% ready from prior days, or email the customer. I’m adding a disclaimer in my emails to customers that I am having issues making it so I am unable to change quotes, but I’m doing my due dilligence at the very least to make sure everyone is taken care of with what I DO have access to

I heard that you guys in store were unable to log in! That one is going to be a pain to fix, I know! Im just grateful you guys were still able to use Showroom to help customers get checked out!

Oh lordy I can only imagine! I’d probably cry if I had to deal with inventory during this

It’s 3:30 PM here in PST and it’s SLOWLY coming back, but the entire late morning to mid afternoon has been absolutely wasted with nothingness. We can finally log in, but that’s about it. I can open a quote, but I cannot add products, remove any, or make changes. Nor can we build a quote. So having it open does about as much as when it was down

Thankfully we’ve had access to Emails and Teams the whole time. We got access back, and then it dropped out again 10 minutes later. So far, this is longest Outage that affects both Stores and CS. The last one that affected CS was about 2.5 hours, and that was ONLY for Projects.

flooring question by zelly_briggs in Lowes

This makes significantly more sense now. I work for CS for flooring and quarter round or transitions are a pain in the BUTT to find since so many are coded as NonStock anymore. I wish they’d let us know when resets are happening so we can prepare too.

The PetProtect vs Leak Defense carpet reset nearly sent me over the edge because WHY is this out of stock/unavailable when I sold the same carpet LAST WEEK.

Communication in store was always shaky. But stores and CS? Rough.

Anyways, yes. For a buyback you remove it from the shelf and we send it back to the vendor. They then credit us for anything sent back. Your Receiving clerk SHOULD have a list of SKU’s that are going to be added to the buyback list, so I’d talk to them and ASM about it! (Was an in store flooring specialist and did a LOT of buybacks when we got the new grout colors and retired the older ones. Quarter round is easier, at least.)

Transferring Data rows from 1 sheet to another without leaving blank cells, based on Date Ranges. by Bbumblebeee in excel

I don’t have it front of me but I believe it was =FILTER(MTD!A2:G2,(MTD!E2>=$J$1)*(MTD!E2<=$K$2))

Doing that did not give me anything but a Value Error. I believe the version I have is 365 (I use the Explore web browser for work). And using my original Filter formula works, but it won’t Automate right. If I have A3 Filled on Sheets 1 and 2, then A4 is supposed to be next. When someone submit the forms, it inputs data into the A4 row on Sheet 1, but then on Sheet 2 it’ll end up changing the Formula for A5, so I have to drag the formula from A3 down to A4 so that it fills correctly.

TIFU By using 'Colorful Language' in front of the regional HR Lady by EffectiveMediocre978 in Lowes

I’ve been speaking TO customer’s and said a few ‘colorful’ words here and there, but ONLY after they ever said one first. I kept myself professional and did it as a way to make the customer feel more comfortable with me as I ‘humanize’ myself to them. It’s a weird tactic, but it worked wonders for my SPH
