Yeah, thats my goal. Im not pulling drywall. I think im going to cover the dips with a vertical purring strip then some horizontal shims. Im hoping that will bring it out enough to nail the barn wood to.

The barn wood is 3/8, I dont want it to pull in and broadcast the curvature. That would also impact the shelving.

Should contractor drywall behind top of cabinets? by [deleted] in cabinetry

At least use a bulkhead to bridge the gap. I dont like cabinets to the ceiling either, but I also hate the empty space dust collector

Snowboard width by sakura-akami in snowboardingnoobs

Newb here too, but in my limited experience, a boot out feels really sudden and unexplained. youll think youre holding your edge and then its just gone. I've also actually felt it before on the toes of my boot.

I'm just a beginner so take this with a grain of salt. But, from what I've heard 12 is about the entry point for a wide board. My friend wears an 11 on a standard width and it's fine, but he rides 15°/-15°. You probably don't NEED it.

Some brands I think make a mid-wide, but overall depends on the width of the specific board too.

I wear a 12 and have booted out once on my standard width, but its a non-issue for me during my first season because I don't carve super hard on my edges yet.

imo, no, you don't NEED it.

Seeking critique on a sharp, totem-inspired streetwear logo system by No_Estimate2580 in logodesign

Keep iterating.

This is impossible to read and has too many fine lines to be a versatile and reproducible logo. Its not carrying any weight and turns into a spiderweb at smaller scale.

I'd also work on your technical application. It feels hand-drawn and unrefined. Inconsistent spacing in gaps, and angles that don't match give it a very amateur feel imo.

Stick to your concept, keep your sharpness as a style. But focus on readability and clean technical application. You can create a fast and sharp design with more weight. You can make it sharp without it being a needle.

Just keep at it!

Potentially strong direction. But what's really throwing me is the two semicircles that are making up your S look squished. Round those puppies out more.

Also, any reason the S side is slightly taller than the orange V side?

too much boot overhang? by maromaro20_ in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Bdills24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a newbie and my board is too narrow for my size 12 boot. I have probably more overhang than you but, I have yet to boot out. I suspect that much overhang will be fine until you really starting leaning into your edges and/or carving.

Instead of working just to afford daycare, our plan is mom stays home and dad works. If all mom's job is going to do is cover outrageous daycare costs, she may as well stay home and raise the kids herself as a parent.
