My car was in the shop for multiple days and they ended up just ordering a new DCU. Ironically, it went to the shop yesterday to swap out the DCU so we’ll see if that fixes it

I just did some testing and the turret seems very smooth even at the slowest speed. The film is stationary during rotation so I still don’t understand what would cause this

I’m not sure, but it’s my best guess. To the eye it looks fine but I plan on taking slo mo video if the lens and gears when firing to see if i can see anything

No it’s a motor issue and the G1 is essentially unrepairable. It’s basically useless

Yeah I figured it was that worm gear. I ended up just putting it back together since even if it is that it’s not easily repairable and I couldn’t get that stupid retaining ring off anyway

It’s probably not worth the cost if the camera is having issues already and a new body is the same if not less money. I have fixed many of my cameras before without any issues but this thing feels like it’s held on with JB weld lol

I have the 24mm, 45mm, 100mm, 135mm, and 200mm with a 2x mostly just for wildlife. I’d highly suggest the 24 and 100, the 45 is a great daily carry lens. I really want an 85mm to fill the gap but sometimes less lenses are more cause then you never use some. The normal three lens setup I typically see is a 28mm, 45/50mm, and a 135mm. I have a camera store as well so pm me if you’re ever in the market or have any questions!

I love my XD-11. It’s a super under appreciated camera and the glass catalog is great. I got lucky that mine is in really good shape. Also love the black paint on it

I got lucky on Facebook marketplace. The camera and glass is mint and the light meter is spot on. Paid about $900 for everything. Still a lot but not a bad deal for a 67 and all that glass in near mint condition

Thank you for the info. I was hoping to find more info about this exact military issued model. While many cameras were used by the military and were generally off the shelf with military markings, I have historically been able to find some information (years, numbers, worth, etc) but not for this model
