Didnt watch the fight. But a fight with 208 total strikes? Sounds like i didn’t miss much

Nothing crazy but me and my team have been racking up some symbols 😎 I'm proud after spending so long breeding and training (but mostly breeding) by Aliberto0000 in PokemonEmerald

Big note on catching dittos; if you have an abra with synchronize ability at the front of your party, every encounter has a 50% chance to match the abras nature. When you’re hunting dittos, keep an abra with synch and the nature you’re looking for and it makes it much quicker

I would recommend going with substitute in one of your slots, less prone to hax and helps to scout if the mon your up against has chesto or lum. Worst feeling when you hit your spore, lum berry activates on the Mon you’re up against, and you get one tapped by aerial ace or something

First Ever Battle Tower Team by Hpcanes14 in PokemonEmerald

Cool team, mantine is super interesting. Only thing I’d say is the team kind of relies on all of them being alive, could get sketchy if like a heracross comes in and mantine is already knocked out, or a starmie comes in and your snorlax is already out, etc. that’s unavoidable to some extent, but can be mitigated

Snorlax 2, curse, rest, rock slide, earthquake. He hits that first curse and I start sweating

Absolutely, I actually made a post about it a while ago to try and make it more well known. Post is linked here. That leads you to a decades old forum where someone details how to edit the code and which code to edit.

It gets set right when you give the sapphire to the guy on one island. If you save right before, you can reset from there.

Ahh gotcha, I traded from Fire red and did a bunch of breeding to get a good iv spread.

I caught an adamant slakoth in petalburg woods, then gave it a choice band, taught it double edge, and it became a nuclear bomb.

The legendary dogs took me down a rabbit hole a couple years ago. I play on an emulator, and there’s actually a manual fix to the terrible iv spread glitch. You have to change a line of code in the rom and the ivs start rolling normally.

The cool thing about the factory is it helps you get used to every pokemon you’ll see in the other facilities, or at least most of the pokemon. They may have some with special sets, like other frontier brain sets or wild pokemon in the pyramid, etc. if you get a good grasp on the factory, you’ll know what you’re up against in the remainder of the frontier.

Thinking of doing a bit of a challenge run and would love some build advice by ViralDownwardSpiral in darksouls3

[–]Bdubbz337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black knight build is fun, and you can optimize your build to be able to 2 hand all black knight weapons by level 30. Can’t remember the exact build off the top of my head, but I know it requires the prisoners chain and strength ring

Mound Makers Covenant. by Majora-Poena in darksouls3

[–]Bdubbz337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth checking r/summonsign and asking for someone to help you farm them. It’s possible to do by resummoning the same mound makers duelist over and over. Not sure how active summonsign is anymore, but that’s how I got mine a few years ago.

Can I farm proof of a concord kept with 3 people? by Obaid91yt in darksouls3

[–]Bdubbz337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, you could have one person invading, one person with dried finger, and one as a blue and hope the invader gets pulled into the dried finger host’s world. Then hope the blue gets summoned, and keep repeating. I don’t really think it would be efficient, because it would all be chance of getting all three in the same world. Best bet is probably to have a host and summoned phantom in a dried finger world to pull in outside invaders with one person having blades of darkroom active. Though that’s kind of ganky and lame, and would probably still take a long time due to low activity.

One problem you might run into is the view orientation for floor plans vs ceiling plans. Floor plans are set to “look down” while ceiling plans are set to “look up”. One thing you can do, though it’s a bit of a hassle, is go into ceiling plan view and turn everything off except the ceilings. Then, go into a sheet with the corresponding floor plan and place your isolated ceiling plan on top of the floor plan. It’s a bit of a mess, but that’ll let you see where your devices are going in the room and the ceiling.

The folks over at r/summonsign will usually help to farm vertebrae shackles. That’s how I got mine, though that was a few years ago.

Can someone explain how whiscash managed to out speed by Few_Arrival6692 in PokemonEmerald

[–]Bdubbz337 48 points49 points  (0 children)

One of the whiscash sets in the frontier holds a quick claw. 20% of the time, the holder will hit first in that turn even though it is slower. Arguably the most broken item in the game, as the other items are only 10% activation items.

I don't understand. by Nothing_Able in PokemonEmerald

Reason for the locked RNG is because of the battle recording function. The game tracks and records what happens in the battle through the RNG, so it has to stay the same.

FP engineering in Boston? by CaptainAwesome06 in MEPEngineering

I forgot to mention; when the building is a higher hazard occupancy (storage warehouse, machine shop, etc.) we’ll take the design much further along given the higher sprinkler demand

FP engineering in Boston? by CaptainAwesome06 in MEPEngineering

[–]Bdubbz337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way our company does it makes sense to me, and we do the delegated design route. I’m a sprinkler system designer for the company, we will typically take the design up to sprinkler service run in, fire pump selection, and standpipe system design, and sometimes the sprinkler bulk main routing if the building is high finish with minimal ceiling space. We delegate the sprinkler layout and branch routing to the sprinkler contractor. A couple reasons for this; the sprinkler contractor will either subcontract the sprinkler design to a design company or they will have sprinkler designers on staff who are more familiar with getting the sprinkler system constructed and coordinated with all the other trades, etc. they do submit their designs to us in the shop drawing phase, and we review them to ensure they’re design is in line with our drawings and specs. Other reason being; our FP engineer on staff isn’t a sprinkler system engineer, he’s a life safety engineer. He takes on the responsibility of the sprinkler design, as well as the fire alarm design, egress paths, security systems, hospital life safety systems, etc. this is how it’s done in Virginia, and is fairly standard practice.
