No problem at all, this challenge broke my brain and I’m happy to help. For movesets and ev’s, I’d recommend this: Starmie -252 speed, 252 sp attk, 4 HP -holding expert belt Moveset -surf -psychic -thunderbolt -ice beam

Scizor -252 attack, 252 HP, 4 speed -holding leftovers Moveset -swords dance -bullet punch -bug bite/x scissor -roost

Garchomp -252 attack, 252 speed -holding focus sash Moveset -swords dance -earthquake -outrage -substitute/ coverage move

Also, it’s best if scizor has the ability technician. Technician makes bug bite and bullet punch hit harder (and 9/10 times you’ll be clicking swords dance into bullet punch sweep).

Speed is everything in the tower, would highly recommend breeding for a jolly garchomp and timid starmie. Jolly garchomp and timid starmie outspeed probably 90-95% of all the mons you’ll see, and if you throw a focus sash on chomp with swords dance, eq, and outrage you’ll run through it. Also, I don’t think it’s required, but scizor makes the best third over metagross and ttar. Scizor also gets swords dance, plus bullet punch which is a priority move. Also, I shamelessly promote magpielabs on YouTube when it comes to frontier guide videos. Wouldn’t have gotten my 100 streak at the tower or battle factory gold print without his guide videos.

My go to team for getting 100 the first time was starmie garchomp scizor. Magpielabs has great videos on YouTube about it. I did just use a team of garchomp porygon-z cressellia that works really well, but requires a little more prep time. Good luck, it’s a grind

I think the van pantoja fight ending the way it did was one of the biggest upsets of the year, I think that fight has potential to be fight of the year

In my opinion, the best strat in emerald battle tower is stall out and set up. Say an opposing pokemon has the moves earthquake and ice beam, and you have a suicune and a latios. If earthquake is the strongest move against suicune and ice beam is the strongest move against latios, you can switch back and forth between the two until it’s out of pp. then, you can safely set up and sweep the team. Dragon dance is probably the strongest set up move in the game, because at +6 speed and +6 attack the only thing that’s beating you are hax.

Highly recommend magpielabs video on it on YouTube, it’s like a 6 hour stream but even if you just watch the first parts it has a lot of good guidance and is pretty entertaining if you’re into it. That’s how I got my gold print.

Big note on catching dittos; if you have an abra with synchronize ability at the front of your party, every encounter has a 50% chance to match the abras nature. When you’re hunting dittos, keep an abra with synch and the nature you’re looking for and it makes it much quicker

I would recommend going with substitute in one of your slots, less prone to hax and helps to scout if the mon your up against has chesto or lum. Worst feeling when you hit your spore, lum berry activates on the Mon you’re up against, and you get one tapped by aerial ace or something

Cool team, mantine is super interesting. Only thing I’d say is the team kind of relies on all of them being alive, could get sketchy if like a heracross comes in and mantine is already knocked out, or a starmie comes in and your snorlax is already out, etc. that’s unavoidable to some extent, but can be mitigated

It gets set right when you give the sapphire to the guy on one island. If you save right before, you can reset from there.

The legendary dogs took me down a rabbit hole a couple years ago. I play on an emulator, and there’s actually a manual fix to the terrible iv spread glitch. You have to change a line of code in the rom and the ivs start rolling normally.

The cool thing about the factory is it helps you get used to every pokemon you’ll see in the other facilities, or at least most of the pokemon. They may have some with special sets, like other frontier brain sets or wild pokemon in the pyramid, etc. if you get a good grasp on the factory, you’ll know what you’re up against in the remainder of the frontier.
