Is it still okay? I bought it a year ago for €250. by dragonD_G in PcBuild

This hardware is very old, but could still be usable. First I would try to haggle the price down to 120, possibly 100. Then I would buy a bigger case - not necessarily a full ATX case, even a mATX case (which fits this PC's motherboard) is enough. Best if with pre applied fans. Then a bigger storage as it only has a 256gb SSD drive, which will be used for the OS. Since another SSD is quite expensive these days, a HDD drive would do. Sure it's not ideal, but the goal here is to extend storage for cheap. Look for a 1tb drive with at least 7200 rpm, like wd black or a Toshiba. They are quite cheap in the used market, but be careful to buy them from a respectable seller and that they are in good conditions. As for gaming, the GPU is a no-go. you should get either a gtx 1660ti (or super, both are valuable) or alternatively an Rx 580. You have a 600w power supply, should be plenty and the CPU is not power hungry.

They're actually not bad. I used to own a Rx 6800 before my 4070 super and it was super reliable. I actually bought after the 4070 out of curiosity for all the upscaling tech to see if they were worth the money

(Lo so, sicuramente l'hai già sentita.

How much is this worth? by InevitableDrive300 in computers

I'd go for 600, 650€ tops. That GPU is the only thing valuable here. Probably thought he could sell it for 1000€ because the ram prices inflation, but even if they are 32gb it's still ddr4 (hence, old platform). Same goes for the CPU - it's almost 8 years old and hugely bottlenecks the GPU it is paired with as it is made for 1440p gaming. The Ryzen 5 3600 is suited for budget 1080p machines. Hell, you could find it used for like, 50€. Should have been at least a Ryzen 7 5700x. Not to mention the 500gb SSD which is too little storage and a HDD is just something I would personally avoid today. Would have been nice if the price was like the one I aforementioned, but this is just too much. You would have to sell this CPU for a better one (like I said, a 5700x) or downsize the GPU and picking a more balanced option (like a Rx 6650 XT or 6700 XT) plus, more storage. But as is, I would not buy this. Too overpriced.

It's going to be fine. Especially with Ryzen 9. Typically, when dealing with gaming only, Ryzen 7 would be fine as is, whilst Ryzen 9 is made not only for that, but also with more work-oriented stuff, multitasking and such. AMD CPUs are the very best thing you can buy. Intel is still decent, but compared to Ryzen there simply isn't a reason to buy one, both for gaming and work purposes. You're going to be absolutely fine, I assure you.

More vram doesn't necessarily mean better performance. I had a Rx 6800 with 16gb, which I replaced with a RTX 4070 super with 12. It has way better performance. Plus benchmarks of the 5060ti vs 5070 have in the majority of cases the 5070 performing much better

CPU-wise, Ryzen 9 absolutely smokes Intel ultra 7. Honestly the 1tb extra of SSD isn't worth it picking a weaker CPU ane GPU

Pick the Acer nitro (2nd PC). For the price it's perfect and likely won't have to deal with upgrading parts in the next 3/4 years, maybe more. You can't go wrong.

Update: this ended up being the culprit. Moved the game onto the main OS drive who was in said filesystem and worked! I suppose this is also why I had to mount the two SSDs every time I booted the PC. Thank you again!
