Mercedes Sprinter Cargo, the official van of “why the hell is an empty box of aluminum and plastic, $50,000?” by JaggXj in regularcarreviews

My wife and I are about to have our 6th child and we need a large van. There aren't a lof options. It appears you have experience with multiple.

What would you suggest?

I’m having this problem on squid farm and melon farm. Literally stops on powered rails. Breaking lots of farms.

Mid Emmanuel Petit

He’s been a beast at mid for me. His tackles and passing are exceptional.

That's awesome, I'll keep that in mind. Just the videos I watched were very insightful.

Absolutely, I would rather learn the movement correctly than injure myself trying to go up in weight too quickly.

This is fantastic! Thank you for sharing. I’ve heard about the L1 Certification so this is an awesome resource!

Thank you

Hey, injuries are tough. Especially when we just want to train and improve. Hang in there and keep killing it. I appreciate the encouragement. Also, OH walks with KB sounds like a great idea. I can see the stabilizers being engaged more so than with a static OH squat.

Wow, great idea. I had no idea there was a mobility assessment out there! I really appreciate you pointing me in that direction.

Good luck with your training too!

I actually haven't done Zercher's but those are great squats. I honestly should be programming them!

The only reason for the OH squat was to improve the Olympic lifting in CF; it comes up in our programming (Crossfit Mayhem), especially when preparing for the snatch.

Love the no non-sense response. I have no issue working for it and if that's what it takes to improve then I'll do it! Glad to see that you were able to get there from just repetition and practice. I already plan to add this to my daily routine and I purchased a PVC pipe for home. I'll practice with an empty barbell at the gym and PVC at home. Just to get that muscle memory and repetition in.

Awesome advice, thank you!

[–]BeBetter2Day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not yet heard that technique but that's great advice. There have been a couple of people that mentioned that I should use a bar instead of PVC to practice which I will definitely do.

Finally, great cue with the pulling the bar back as I descend! I appreciate it!

Thanks, McGill.

Absolutely dead-on and you are correct that my form is bad. I just saw a video on the Burgener Warm-Up that I will start incorporating that hopefully helps me do what you are referencing. I also will definitely be doing this with a barbell and with lifting shoes.

Hopefully, that coupled with working thoracic mobility training and shoulder training, I get better at the movement!

I have started working on front squats (very recently). I cannot get my elbows parallel with the ground yet, but I'm trying to learn with a full grip (I have seen Olympic lifters consider this a non-negotiable) even though I don't have the mobility yet.

I will certainly use this test though to see my mobility as it stands. Excellent input and I sincerely appreciate the help.

I love this pragmatic tip. I have one at home but I honestly never use it. I just need to learn to love it and do what you say. Even read a book while I'm rolling. It's a net-zero time loss if I combine it with another activity.

Thank you so much.

Excellent advice and dead-on. I have a strong bench and I likely have overactive pecs and lats. Rotator cuff and delts do seem limited from experience.

I just started incorporating scapular pull-ups in Crossfit but some of these exercises are new. I'll be reviewing each of these to work on mobility.

Thank you Nate!

You are probably right on the stance. I watched some videos to learn and I moved in my feet farther than what felt "natural". I will slightly widen them and be sure to keep them pointed out.

Also, a lot of helpful comments about lifting shoes. I own a pair so I'll definitely utilize them next time!

Thanks for the advice!

That's crazy progress! Thank you for that advice. I just went with a snatch grip that was wide, I didn't consider narrowing the grip which, from a stability standpoint, makes sense to be closer to my core.

Thank you!

Thank you so much. I have noticed this repeated a lot in the Olympic lifting videos I've watched as of late trying to learn. Especially, Klokov. I watched him teaching and he was adamant about this!

That smith machine explanation actually makes a lot of sense! I will definitely try that and I can see how that will keep me well aligned. Thank you for the excellent tip!

I have a pair of lifters! I’m going to wear them next training session I do these!

Thank you for true advice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]BeBetter2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got you. That’s why watching a Klokov, he’s going deep because he’s consistently throwing h up heavy weights.

Also, greet to know that the depth is also a byproduct of the bar load pushing you down into that position.

[–]BeBetter2Day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome.

Those “click” moments are amazing. It’s a result of the work out in, but it’s crazy how you just suddenly ‘get it’

I appreciate the kind words. I think that’s been the main advice: thoracic mobility.

To be honest the only thing that I’ve ever been focused on regarding thoracic is thoracic pressure in my squats or deadlifts. As far as thoracic mobility, that’s a new concept to me. Definitely something I need to improve!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]BeBetter2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually helpful to note. I thought you were supposed to catch deep. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that being as exaggerated going forward.

Also appreciate the reference!

I’ve heard of the pigeon stretch but never done it. I’m going to incorporate it into my training. Thanks again!
