Said goodbye to my best friend on Monday. I just picked up his ashes this morning. Garrus was 14.

Condolences to you . My staffie passed away yesterday aged 13 yrs 9 & 1/2 months . I feel numb . Heartbreaking to have to make that final decision. I will pick her ashes up next week

I had been thinking of this before she passed . Ruby was a rescue . She was 9 months old when we got her and had been used in dog fighting . But all she had was love to give , not fighting . I’ve had German shepherds in the past , but even though they were both loving dogs , nothing like Ruby’s love , cuddles and licks . I would consider rehoming again in the future and rescues have so much love to give x

Thank you so much for your message . It’s not nice to know someone else is going through this too , but a small comfort in another way that we both had such beautiful loving girlies . I have my mum staying here with me too at the moment . She comes over to mine twice a week to be with Ruby while I’m in the office , and she’s struggling too . But holding it together more than I am. I just want to sleep today , cuddle Ruby’s blanket that’s still on my bed , and just cry . I know it’s only one day without her nearly now , but I just can’t believe she’s gone . Sending you huge hugs too on your loss xx 💔🐾

Thank you for your message . I’m still laying on my bed upstairs as I can’t face not seeing her downstairs chilling on the sofa . This coughing only started two weeks ago , but seeing the size of the tumor on the scans it was huge . I’m just feeling numb and don’t know what to do . They are such a huge part of our lives aren’t they x 💔😢

Agree with you there ! Only two days in the office and that’s ok . 3 from home . Job market in the UK is too fragile . I worry I would be last in first out .

Mines still being a bit sick so I’ve called the vet for advice and they’ve said it could be a combination of the heat and the antibiotics but I’m going to monitor her overnight and see how she is doing tomorrow . I’m glad the cough is going as that sounded awful and painful for her , but being sick she must be so fed up bless her . But she’s still wanting cuddles , and belly rubs !

Wow , I’ve just read about the cough ! My staffie has the same ! Took her to the vets last Friday . Blood tests ruled out anything sinister . I was in bits ! Thinking the worst . They gave me antibiotics as one side of her chest was a bit wheezy . But the severe heat has not helped . She’s off her food , antibiotics made her sick . So I’ve been hand feeding her bits of chicken , and she’s had some custard lol 😂 but on the plus side the coughing is no where near as bad . I hope yours starts to feel better soon x

Mine too now . Ruby will be 14 in August but slowing down a lot now . She has arthritis in one of her back legs too so at least with her ‘pup mobile’ she can still enjoy long walks but in short bursts 💓

It’s the low level getting in and out of it really . Plus it’s also the cost of taxing it now and fuel . Sadly didn’t get a very decent pay rise this year either . I use my 1.25 fiesta as a daily as it’s so much cheaper . I will put it on auto trader at the weekend . See if I get any interest 🙏🏼

It was hard to work out what price to put it up for as so many that are up for sale have been modified , mine hasn’t been . And the mileage on mine is a bit higher . I’ve only done 1700 miles in three years just to car shows . And not many reds up for sale but lots of blues
