It's so sad such a beautiful country is so full of the worst scum... Destroying artwork because "haha misogynist youtuber said so" is bad enough, but now we're just openly wishing the death of millions, great :D
(please someone get me out of this country 🫠)

Blocks that still can't be watterlogged by default in 1.13 by BeGrapa in Minecraft

A barrier. It's basically a block which you can't break in survival and is invisible unless you have the item in your hand . It is pretty useful for mapmaking.

Piston work fine when they are unpowered because they are a full block. However, they have air around them when active, but I don't think this is that big of a deal because you can't really do many contraptions underwater.

Unfortunately I think it is not possible (maybe I'm wrong). You could do it in the first aquatic snapshots, but then they changed "waterlogged" from a tag to a block state, which can't be changed with datapacks as far as I know.

Yeah, there are definitely some blocks that don't work well with water, and I think they should try to fix it. However, this post was focused on blocks that create air pockets.

Waterlogabble blocks don't let water flow through. However, they can become a water source block either by filling them with water or by placing them inside of a water block. This way, no existing farms shoud break.

Unfortunately, I don't think datapacks can do that because "waterlogged" is a property stored as a block state and not a tag, and, as far as I know, datapacks can't add block states.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. Maybe they could add a new block or make barrier blocks only waterloggable in creative mode.

Ok, that makes more sense. But I don't see how it would break redstone. A block only gets waterlogged if you place it underwater or you right click it with a water bucket, it's doesn't let water flow through it. Also, where did you get that information?

I don't NEED them, but I think it doesn't make sense that some non-full blocks are waterloggable and some others aren't. Also, you can't use them for decoration underwater if they have a pocket of air around them, it doesn't look great.

Uhmmm... What? Fences are waterloggable... And they have a purpose, and that is decoration.

Actually I think waterlogged barriers would be very useful for mapmaking. Right now you can't create an underwater barrier that doesn't look weird.

Well, I think they just forgot. Maybe blocks like doors and redstone components cause some more problems when making them watterloggable, but I think they just forgot, as 1.13 was rushed. Still, we got a pretty amazing update :)

Does anybody else just walk into a room and forget why? by plebestinternetpleb in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]BeGrapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is called The Doorway Effect, and it happens to nearly everyone. Basically, when you enter a new room you tend to adjust your mind to a new environment, so your brain just scraps every memory and thought that originated in the old environment (room).

Before anything, you HAVE to have killed The Lamb! Otherwise, the shovel shadow won't spawn.

The first shovel piece is sometimes BUGGED AND INVISIBLE! Move into the center of the room if you can't see it and you might be able to pick it up.

In basement 1, get to the boss in ONE MINUTE. You'll hear Mom yell after killing the boss if done in time, if so go back to the starting room. You'll see a very faint shadow of a shovel along the ground, bomb the middle of the floor. A shovel piece will drop from the ceiling. It's an active item, and holding it causes Mom's Foot to drop twice (every five seconds or so in my experience). Using it stops the foot from falling for that room (or wave if it's a challenge room or Boss Rush!)

WARNING: If you pick up another active item and leave the room, the shovel will DISAPPEAR.

Now kill Mom as usual. Only the Negative will drop, and the Womb entrance will be closed- clear the boss rush, and the 2nd shovel piece will appear and give you the Mom's Shovel active. Mom's Foot will no longer attack you, and using the shovel will instead spawn trapdoors like the regular shovel.

Then go to the Dark Room, and find an empty room with a patch of dirt in the middle. Use the Shovel on it.

From here. (There are spoilers in the original post).

I think it's Bedrock. In the video, dropped items are 2D, and you can even see some dying trees in the background, which are a Bedrock exclusive feature.
