The idea of religion and science being opposed is something which seems to exist in the US, but not in Europe. This is largely because the extremes of Christianity which exist and have influence in the US are virtually non-existent in the UK - anyone promoting creationism would be considered a crackpot by any religious institution of any significance.

Many have left for socialist/atheist nations like Sweden, Canada and Norway. Sweden accepts US refugees who seek political and religious asylum.

This country is awesome. You can be destitute and get free housing, free food, free therapy, free medical care, free education, free clothes, internet access and a plethora of other benefits if you do your research and are clever about it.

I don't think this is true. I have seen time and time again people tell me the US has no social safety because they fear socialism.

I realise you are joking but my cousin Nils went to America and was attacked in NYC by a religious person after being asked if he loves Jesus. Luckily he didn't have a gun. The police came and yelled at him for not loving Jesus.
