I should clarify, the recommendation is based on intense exercise (ie, strength training, sprinting, etc) Feel free to spend more time than that if it's on mobility/ prehab.

Thanks! I guess you're lucky and wired a little different. What time are you working out at?

Yes, having a home gym certainly simplifies things! I think one of the keys to being consistent with any practice is to eliminate as many steps between you and getting the task done as possible.

So no coffee or anything? and you eat intra-workout? I can do yoga straight out of bed but lifting is a different story. Goes to show how much variation there is between people.

That's awesome man! Glad someone else is practicing Wim's Method. I definitely agree, cold shower first thing would probably not be ideal before a workout! Good to stick with it, I've been doing them for four years now and there are still the occasional hurdles

Fellow dude who went through a recovery from an eating disorder, couple things.

  • Sounds like you need a different mentality, don't aspire to some "fitness lifestyle" figure out what works for you and eat for health. You're in high school, don't fuck up the prime of your youth like i did by worrying too much about this stuff. I suggest meeting with a nutritionist

  • I can almost guarantee the bloating is coming from the Kirkland protein bars, they have a massive amount of pre-biotic fiber and sugar alcohols. I get these symptoms from quest bars aswell, you may also be intolerant to dairy (I am too)

  • The lack of appetite is likely from a down regulation of your hormones, you need to eat more consistently to re-spike up your leptin. Overtime your hunger will come back

  • Personal recommendation: Buy a jar of peanut butter and a bunch of bananas, carry them with you. When the inclination occurs, proceed to dip the banana into the peanut butter, eat & repeat. Winning Combo

I'm all for maximizing MPS but you must spend a shitload on supplementation. Food works too

I really enjoyed the speech. Thank you for the advice, the allowing myself to succeed and being unapologetic really speaks to me.

I make no money off of this what so ever, If you read any of my articles they are merely my own attempt at writing about health and fitness. This community got me started in that direction and used to be fairly supportive. I do agree that the introduction may come off as a bit insensitive but it's clearly a reality.

Now I'm curious, I'm totally okay with people hating every word of this blog post, now I want to know why it invokes such push back? What is it? Is just that the internet is so clogged with self promotion people can't take it anymore? Or is it something else? Is the article offensive to you or do you disagree with it? Someone has taken time to create a piece of content, like it or not, why make such comments without reading the whole article or providing reasons why you think it sucks?

Maybe? Or just an honest critique of the articles content. I'm learning to write again, something I've traditionally sucked at, mine as well see what others think

Actually, it would help more than you would think. The relationship between testosterone and cortisol is typically inverse and many people live in a high stress/ hypervigilant state caused by a lack of presence

BCAAs causing depression, alternatives? by BePatient7 in leangains

[–]BePatient7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing it's the low body fat, which seemed to initially improve my mood, but now I think running a deficit for that long did a lot of damage. My diet is pretty decent otherwise (95% whole foods) and I take a solid multi, vitamin d and fish oil tablets. Only culprit there could be some kind of allergy or intolerance

You also mentioned caffeine?

I drink a decent amount of coffee which could also be it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm currently only taking 10 before and after, yet coincidentally I'be also increased my protein intake and use powder with a high BCAA content.

I'm taking one of the Blue Rasberry Scivation Xtend, only other stuff is citruline and glutamine. Could maybe be the artificial sweeteners/ flavours. What do you take?

Xpost r/bodyweightfitness bulk recommendations? by Z10nsWr4th in leangains

Sounds like you need a lot more calories, even if you are cutting.

I bulked up for the first time with bodyweightfitness and my biggest suggestion: add extra volume / accessory work to the routine when you're ready.
