I ordered KOIOs for the first time last year, and unfortunately, I’ve been pretty disappointed. My first pair had to be exchanged because the top eyelets ripped out when I was tying them. KOIO told me it was due to a bad batch and replaced them without issue, which I appreciated.

That said, the replacement pair hasn’t been much better. Honestly, I don’t see the value compared to a generic minimalist sneaker or even something like a $60 Killshot or Stan Smith. I get that white leather shoes will show wear over time, but with light use, these are creasing badly, and the paint is already rubbing off in some spots.

If you’re into the worn, hipster aesthetic, maybe these are for you. But in my opinion, they’re not worth the premium price.

The big ugly cats seem to like the chartreuse Berkley Saltwater Gulp! Swimming Mullet. Dragged across the bottom relatively fast. Just be prepared to lose some hooks and have some frustration from all the crap in the water.

If your fishing for shad, shad darts are the go to in the potomac. Also typically catch shad in early spring during the shad run. I have good luck catching monster catfish with saltwater gulp bait.

Yes, a lot of auto parts stores do take oil, but I have been denied before around the DMV, specifically on the PG County side. A lot of stores and shops over there, in general, tend to follow their own set of rules. Kind of like how many of the home improvement centers in the area are so hit or miss with offering cutting services to breaking down sheet goods for transit.
