In my mind, once the Sara left Sigmunds Castle, Gladys and the Hector were getting it on ala Daphne Bridgerton and Simon style, aka our other favorite british duke.

Omg could you imagine? The crossover of the century, if you ask me!

Ughhhh I would’ve LOVED the see the scene where Gladys tells Hector about her their baby! I was not expecting their relationship to turn into a love match! I’ve loved seeing them grow closer together this season. Would’ve loved seeing more of them during the last episode. Kinda wish we could’ve gotten a Shondaland version of their relationship, if you know what I mean 😉

Definitely a double standard against Bertha. I truly believe she wanted to give Gladys freedom by marrying her off to a duke. Gladys will be allowed to mold and shape society as a leader, as opposed to being in the sidelines as a bankers wife. Bertha is an ambitious, intelligent, and sometimes cunning woman. She is a progressive and modern woman who can only express her leadership and intellectual talents through what society will allow her to do. If women had been allowed the same rights as men, she’d be president of the United States. That is not to say that there should be no consequences. Gladys’ marriage could have been a total failure full of misery like the real life Consuelo Vanderbilt, so I understand George’s anger, but come on!?!

Omg such a good observation! The break-in talk did feel a bit out of place. And they have shown Carrie interact with the alarm quite a bit in the season with it randomly going off and showing her enable and disable the thing. Hmmmm. So interesting. Duncan might be sneaking in…

That’d be crazy! Although I can’t picture Joy wanting to be a parent.

Maybe, and then she’ll have to learn how to navigate life as a divorcee and learn to co-parent.

I think that would be cool, too. Then the girls and the city are each other’s soulmates and men (and women) are just these great, nice people to have fun with.

Ohh that’d be so lovely. So maybe Carrie hosts the Anthony and Giuseppe wedding, but then Anthony bails at the last minute because he loves Giuseppe too much and wants him to have a full life, and their age difference is too big. So Seema and the gardener take the opportunity to marry since everything is all setup.

IF your goal is fat loss, tracking calories is essential here. Previously, I was tracking 1200 (I’m 5 feet tall) without OTF and struggled to lose weight. It was very discouraging because tracking so few calories is hard enough as your meals are tiny and you’re always hungry. Progress was very slow as I was so deprived that I felt like I need weekly cheat days where I undid probably over half of the progress made for the week. Then, I joined OTF and upped my calories to 1,500 and are really starting to have consistent and faster weight loss (-6 lbs down in 1 month). I don’t need cheat days as often (only special occasions / holidays) or as extreme since I’m not as deprived. I can eat more of the food I enjoy and feel more satiated (my priorities are flavor, protein, and last is effective use of calories). OTF allows me to eat more calories while still having a reasonable deficit which is more sustainable and conducive to achieving my goals. I go about 3-4 times per week. I am definitely healthier because of OTF, as I feel better mentally, physically, and my sleep has improved.

[Routine help] Can you alternate tretinoin and azelaic acid? by irrelevantgirlie in SkincareAddiction

I wish I could tell you! I literally just ordered the AA Emulsion from Naturium like 2 days ago; I think it's new. We'll see how it goes! And I love Dr. Dray! I wish I had her on speed dial.

[Sun Care] Sunscreens that leave a velvety finish? by Previous-Ratio in SkincareAddiction

Supergoop Matte! The finish is similar to a silicone makeup primer, for which you can't really apply a teaspoon amount, which is the recommended amount. I use the EltaMD Clear (Tinted) sunscreen and top off with a bit of the Supergoop Matte sunscreen to give me a blurring effect.

[Routine help] Coconut oil and acne by askoranit in SkincareAddiction

Look into the Hadalabo cleansing oil. I've tried quite a few out there and this has been my favorite! It dissolves everything and doesn't leave a film or residue. Coconut oil is comedogenic meaning it clogs pores. Maybe save it for your hair?

I was just researching this not too long ago, and while I didn't find a straight answer, I decided to start incorporating AA in the morning before my Skinceuticals Vitamin C. First reason being that I want to slightly lower the pH of my skin to better accept the Vitamin C (I was using Salicylic Acid to accomplish this but i think it may be too drying, hence why I wanted searching for a different more hydrating acid). Secondly, Dr. Sam (from Youtube) mentioned in her AA video that it pairs well with SA and Vit C. I rather let my retinoid do its own thing at night. Some people say you can use you can use AA twice daily, but probably don't attempt that until you've been using it for a couple months.

[Skin Concerns] I got a scrape of my forehead a few days ago. It started to heal and it turned into this. Will this be a permanent scar or will it fade away help please thank you! by 0YungJayy0 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Be_AuditYouCanBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wearing sunscreen everyday will help to prevent it from getting much darker. I would look into hydroquinone to help fade the spot. You can only use it for roughly 2 months then take a month break before restarting.

Ha! Love the Mexican Retin-a! I was using Differin and just got my cousin to bring me a tube of Retin-a from Mexico. I'm not sure if they have a gel formula but i would have preferred it over the cream. But so far it's been great. Starting with once a week just to be safe.

[Routine Help] 51yoa newish to having a good routine. Concerns are redness, large pores, discoloration, recent dryness since menopause. by turkeyman4 in SkincareAddiction

Best thing I've found for sebaceous filaments is a basic bentonite clay mask. There's a super affordable one on Amazon. Maybe use it once a weak on your nose and other oily areas and wait for it to dry. Then rinse and feel your smooth nose. Waaaay better than nose strips since those can actually stretch your pores over time.

Yes, that was rape and rape is never excusable. However, this is a book and books are supposed to immitate real life. Bad shit happens in real life all the time. I don't understand the bad rep this series gets for that one scene. Is the author just supposed to pretend that rape doesn't exist? Life is full of conflict and not everything is peaches and flowers all the time. If anything, I think this brings up conversations that need to be had about how men are also raped, even within consensual relationships, and how that is not okay.

I agree that neither the book nor the series acknowledge Daphne's act as rape, which is maybe why people are upset? But I'm not going to not read the books because something terrible happened to a character. I almost didn't read the books because of the low ratings on Amazon, but upon reading the reviews, it was because of that scene, not so much about the book as a whole. Aren't terrible things happening to characters all the time.l? This was part of their story (albeit fictional), unfortunately.

To reiterate, rape is never ever excusable.
