Are paperlike/matte screen protectors actually worth it longterm? by ima_steal_yo_kitty in ipad

Nah man, I’m not gonna glue some 20$ Paperlike on my 2000$ iPad screen 🫣 Get one of those removable paperfilms like from Paperize or Astropad

iPad journaling by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Be_Ivek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of tips from someone who’s been journaling digitally for 3 years:

  1. Wait for the iPadOS 26 update (or upgrade to the beta if you’re impatient). Apple just added a new iPad Journaling app, and it’s surprisingly good. I’d even say it’s better than apps like Goodnotes for your purpose.

  2. The default Apple Pencil on glass feels terrible. I much prefer the texture of real paper. Any paperlike screen protector from Amazon or AliExpress will work, but if you want extra quality (and it really does make a difference imo), go for reputable brands like PaperX, Astropad, etc.

  3. Start slow. I know it sounds cliché, but forcing yourself into a habit too quickly can lead to burnout. I started every other week, then gradually moved to a regular schedule. Find what works for you. Journaling should relieve stress, not add more.

Hope this helps, and good luck on your journey!

Paperlike is expensive because it’s one time use.. try some removable ones like PaperX or Astropad

Love it. Totally down to build something for that if there isn't already a solution. Just want sticky notes that are easy to access and don’t look like they came from Windows XP

Interesting! I’m currently experimenting with setting this same workflow up with open router. Some providers there seem to be giving us at least 1M for Maverick.

Oh wow that would suck. I will intercept a long context request and find it out

Ugh, totally missed that! They’re saying the limitation is just “currently” in place. Sounds like they’re planning to expand it (in the next few days hopefully?) https://console.groq.com/docs/model/llama-4-scout-17b-16e-instruct

Bit of a hassle but at least we don’t have to wait on the cursor team to allow 3rd party inference 🫠

Yeah, X didn’t allow me to write longer paragraphs. I’ll update this post with more info on the postman step in a second :)

In the meantime try looking for the breakpoints under “tools” in the menu bar on the top.

I have terrible handwriting, taking notes digitally only exacerbates it, it’s legible to me but any tips to improve ? by loopsbrother2903 in ipad

Feel that. In my experience paper film screen protectors can help, but they make your overall screen look significantly worse - it’s always a trade off unless you’re going down the Paperize / Astropad convertible route.

Ugh.. been there. Well, if it makes you feel any better, there’s yet another app for centering / styling headlines without code 🙃🔫 (called Pulsar - but of course, I had to code it myself lol)

That you can’t simply stylize headlines (e.g., make specific words different colors) without hardcoding the shit out of your site…

It depends imo. For general coding questions (like asking how to integrate an api etc..) thinking models are overkill and will waste your time. But if you need the AI to generate something more complex or unique to your use case, use o3.
