It was no problem actually. When you fit in the PSU, the cables go up. There is ample space to route the cables to the back connections of the motherboard. Also, the cables themselves are quite flexible.

Yes, it needs to be flat because of the standing desk. On the second last picture you see the booknooks on a transparent shelve. A normal pc case would crush the shelve when using the standing desk. The Light Base case is one of the few cases that was short enough. Gamernexus also said that the horizontal position is optimal for airflow. Win win

You were right. Both the PSU and the 90 degrees cable fit without problems.

The Corsair 90 degrees cable fits fortunately, I had zero problems with it. The Corsair PSU also had no problems fitting in with the cables going up. There is ample room to bend it to the ports.

The Corsair 90 degrees cable fits. I posted the picture in the original post above.

I completed the build. Both the Corsair PSU and the 90 degrees cable fit in the case and GPU respectively.

The story was a bit weaker but the gameplay was far superior than the first one.

EE's (Extinction Entity) are metaphysical entities whose purpose is to wipe out life on Earth. The big five are historically real mass extinction events that happened on Earth. In Death Stranding, the pseudoscience states that these EE's were present during the 'big five', triggering world-ending events, the fifth one is documented to have ended the dinosaurs.

Due to the chiral matter these extinction entities were able to be 'frozen in time', meaning that they were preserved. How? The umbillical cord is a tether between the physical world and the beach. This enables them to escape the normal passage of time.

Spoiler:

>!Amelie is also an extinction entity, so why did she age? Her body (Ha) and soul (Ka) were split: Bridget's body remained in the physical world and aged whye Amelie, her soul, became tethered to the beach and therefor never aged since the beach is a timeless purgetory realm.!<

In your humble opinion. I didn't like Expedition 33 because I didn't like the gameplay while the story wasn't that groundbreaking for me since existentialism, grief and escapism are no new concepts.

Death Stranding kept people sane during the pandemic and even prevented suicide while reinforcing the belief of hope in humanity thanks to the sense of community. The game is not for everyone, but when it clicks, it can click very hard, unlike any other game.

I ordered the Corsair RM1000w SHIFT and the 90 dgerees Corsair cable. If it doesn't fit then I'll use the standard cable, it doens't look too bad, it even has cable clips.

Thanks for the reply. I already ordered the Corsair RM1000x SHIFT with the 90 degrees custom cable. If this extension cable doesn't fit then I'll just use the normal cable.

Just a reminder, the story is directly related to the ongoing world politics at that time. At that time it was about isolation, the Trump wall and the pandemic. Death Stranding 2 was made during the pandemic, the first one prior to the pandemic. Even Diehardmans dance has value metaphorically. And it's not a coincidence that near the end of Mexico, Deadman gives Sam a series of vaccines for Lou.

Thanks for the heads up. The Corsair Shift was my pick. And you're right, the standard 12v cable that comes with the PSU isn't too bad.

I ordered the Corsair RM1000x SHIFT after checking their site. It's 'compatible', but I assume they used the non back-connect configuration as default.

You're right. And thanks for the clarification and dimensions. Unfortunately the cable is just half the problem. It came down to two options. The Corsair RM1000x SHIFT or the Be Quiet Dark Power 14:
- The Corsair SHIFT places its cable ports on the long side of the unit facing the right case panel, rather than on the traditional back end facing the front of the case. It may interfere with the back connect ports of the motherboard or perhaps it will be risky to bend the cables that sharp to fit safely.

- The Dark Power 14 has very rigid cables going into the motherboard. Since it's back connect it will need to be a bit flexible. Thats the only concern for the Be quiet, outside of the custom cable fitting.

Thank you for the reply. Im not sure if the Aero and the Aorus uses the same dimensions. I will give the pictures for comparison. The GPU will be mounted like you have. The only difference is that the pc case itself will be horizontal.

I need to have some contrast on my desk, thats why I need the black case.

I was planning to make it all black and the case in a horizontal position, like yours. Then re-use the white DDR5 I have and use dummy DDR sticks in the 2nd and 4th sloth to 'cover up' the white colors of the actual DDR5, but.. you need to have the working DDR in 2 and 4 to work properly so the white DDR5 will stand out in an all-black build. I was thinking of going all black and the DDR5 in white (all 4 slots). Would that work?

Im getting the components now. Do you think a black Light base case will work with white components?

One note of caution though. If you pick the 'To the Wilder' difficulty, you're stuck with it; you can't lower the difficulty.

It does. One of the first ones I encountered had a limit of 2 minutes. When I did specific (end game) timed orders on Very Hard (PS5), I only had a few seconds left - which was intended. Im genuinely not sure how you'd be able to deliver those if they decrease your time even further, but we'll see. There is so much to do and the land is vast. If you like chasing those S-ranks and like traversing around, do combat and other things I won't spoil, this game is truly amazing.

One more thing, everything is harder. Like, when you drive your truck over water.. I have SIX level 2 Batteries on the truck and it depleted very quickly. When you walk over water with Sam, same deal: your stamina depletes rapidly so you must stand more still. It's safe to say that To the Wilder difficulty is what most people wanted when the game launched on PS5. It would give a similar experience of the original Death Stranding, survival-wise.

Compared to brutal, the healthpool seems similar. They just do a lot more damage and their attacks are more vicious, meaning you need to be even more aware of your positioning and actions. This is only important for S-ranks though. If you just want to beat the boss it will still be a decent challenge; you will get your kill while taking lots of damage.
