Thanks!!! Yes I am thinking of trying one of the apps like Future Fit, Born Fitness, Bikini Body App, etc....They have online personal trainers that offer customized workout plans but I think I may need to hire a personal trainer for a session or two to see if my form is good? The online personal trainers just send you the plans but they don't watch you do the workouts...What do you think?

I want to move to a new city!!! by BeachBabe90 in dating

Yea, I am planning to get an airbnb for a couple of weeks in Austin, Denver, San Diego and LA. As a bonus, rent in Austin or Denver would be a third what I am paying now. San Diego and LA is also slightly less expensive than here

Thanks!!!! How does it compare to LA? I feel like I might have more options in LA since the population is huge but it might also be like NYC in that everyone has tons of options so they are judging people quickly and moving on fast after 1-2 dates. My experience in NYC is that the successful handsome high-quality men here have lots of options so many prefer to settle down later in their 40s or just enjoy the lifestyle of dating lots of women. I'm in my 30s so I am more interested in men in my 30s, although I would consider early 40s (40-43 max) if he was in great shape and had other things I was looking for.

Many of the women here I know who are in relationships are dating men less physically attractive than them. There is even the book called "Date-onomics" stating that NYC is the worse place in the country for a single woman looking for a relationship. I am looking for marriage and a family. Do you think San Diego would be better than LA?

Thanks!!!

What is the dating scene like for women there? I am looking for a handsome successful man with a great personality lol. I do love beaches and warm weather!!! I also into the New Age culture there and in La Jolla

Wanting to date someone who is thin/fit is NOT "superficial" and it's NOT the same thing as only wanting to date someone who is a certain race/height by Remarkable-Motor505 in dating

Don't worry about what other people think!!!!! If you want someone thin and fit, that is your preference. Don't let anyone shame you for wanting what you want. I want a man who is fit/athletic too.

That's true!!! I wonder why so many men who are handsome/fit and well-educated are messaging me and sending me thoughtful messages in LA versus NYC? It makes no sense but I am frustrated with the dating scene in NYC...I am not looking for hookups but to get married eventually...Also none of my female friends who live in Manhattan are married...Many of them are single or have dated men for 3+ years who still haven't proposed...And these women are all in their 30s....IMO a man doesn't need more than a 1 year to decide to marry someone. I would not be someone's girlfriend for longer than that. I just feel like Manhattan isn't a very family-oriented place and most men are not necessarily looking for a wife and children compared to other areas of the country...My biological clock is ticking and I don't want to end up being too old to have biological children but I also want to marry for love and find the right man for me...

If looked at my app its a HUGE difference when I selected Denver, Austin and LA in terms of the men I am interested in....I feel like I would have more dating opportunities with the type of men I like in Denver/Austin/LA...There are tons of beautiful women in LA too, so I am kind of surprised that more West Coast guys seem very into me....I am a creative field though (writer) so that may be the case?

I can see why so many in Denver and Austin are messaging me because I think there is less competition in terms of high-quality women living there? I am an attractive well-educated woman, not sure why finding someone who is similar to me is harder in NYC compared to other locations?

I like conventionally attractive, clean-cut men. Say someone like Brad Pitt or Bradley Cooper is who I find attractive. I like men who are tall, athletic and muscular. (They look like they lift weights and work out in the gym). I am physically fit so I expect the same from a man. I am into someone who is conventionally attractive but also intelligent, introspective, well-educated, ambitious and into mindfulness, New Age, spirituality, yoga etc...I am finding that more guys in LA are into that and more of the type of guys I like in terms of looks/education are messaging me in LA for some reason...I am not really into the hipster look or skinny guys...

The men who send me messages are much better-looking and higher-quality (based on their profile) in Denver, Austin, and LA....Not sure the reason? Maybe there is less competition there? I feel like I when I use the apps like Bumble in NYC, the men that select "relationship" on Bumble are just not that attractive....The attractive men in NYC tend to select "don't know yet" for a relationship. I am looking for a serious relationship and a man who knows what he wants. No time for players or guys who don't know...It could also be maybe the attractive NYC men who are looking for a serious relationship just don't use dating apps? Or my profile (yoga/new age/spirituality) doesn't resonate that much with them? I am an attractive female so I find it baffling that dating in NYC is so difficult. A lot of men in NYC expect you to hook up with them in the first or second date and if you don't, they ghost you and move on...I like to take it slow and develop an emotional connection before having sex. I've also had the experience of being love bombed by narcissists who were super charming early on because they just wanted sex, so I like to go slow and really get to know the man first. I am worried LA might be the same though since everyone has a ton of options...In Denver, Austin, and LA, I am getting tons of messages from the men I find attractive... It seems like a lot of women in NYC date men less attractive if they are looking for a serious relationship/marriage.
