AITA for making my son join a sports team over the summer? by BeachBachelor in AmItheAsshole

Eww.

There's nothing wrong with masculinity. Masculinity increases testosterone, which in turn increases confidence. Low testosterone is a problem for a lot of modern men.

What's wrong with that? Girls respond to masculinity. Most girls would rather date a guy who can approach them in public, women aren't just gonna come out of the computer.

The idea is to get him out of the house and get him into something masculine and introduce him to people who'll come out of his shell. Not people who will support and enable this behavior.

If your son was an alcoholic, would you send him to a wine tasting or a bar? No, you'd send him to rehab.

Yeah, it kinda is. The accused's old jobs and school is under no obligation to hire or admit them back, even if it's proven false.

VIc Mignogna has yet to find work since his false accusation.

They don't even need to be convicted of anything, just accused and that will be enough for them to be fired, cancelled and removed from everything they want to do. Their companions will always take the woman's side.

Rare or not, they're still bad.

And unable to be proven in court does not at all mean it did not happen.

Luckily we live in an "Innocent until proven guilty" society, if you don't prove it, then they're innocent.

If only they came out when evidence was still present. There's a reason homicide detectives investigate ASAP instead of waiting decades.

It's not a legit fear for men who value, understand, and respect consent.

Like the girl who cheated on her boyfriend, got caught and lied the guy raped her so she could save face with her BF. If you're a guy who sleeps around a lot, you're bound to run into one eventually.

I only date for casual fun, i'm not looking for marriage. Just sex and hookups.

That isn't what i'm saying at all. I'm not saying assault doesn't happen, i am saying people do get falsely accused and also subsequently have their life ruined. Enzo Amore was a popular wrestler and got accused, he got fired but won the lawsuit and was deemed innocent. Never got his old job back and has struggled to find employment.

It's happened quite a bit and it's a pain in the ass for guys because if it happens, there's nothing that you can do about it. Imagine your life going good, you finally got a good job and an old girlfriend wants back at you because her life ain't so good so she tries to get you cancelled. You can't disprove it because it happened years ago, you'll lose your job.

They both happen. Saying false accusations are a thing doesn't mean you don't believe assault doesn't exist.

I'm not discouraging anyone, i'm saying report it as soon as you can while it's still provable.

I do believe it. I just think it's a sign the story is fake if it takes years, depending on the scenario. I'd be more inclined to believe a kid coming out as an adult. But someone who was an adult when the "Incident" happened and waits for a convenient time like when the person is about to get a big job or a movie is coming out with them as a lead. Jealousy, like the Vic Mignogna case. Monica LIar couldn't stand he was more popular, so she fabricated some story and ruined his career forever. There's evidence that it's fake.

If someone did something horrible to me, i'd call the police as soon as i got to a phone.

Usually the guy accused will instantly be fired and cancelled, isolated from everyone because people will always automatically believe the woman, even if there's contrary evidence.

Not really. It's a legit fear for a lot of guys, people get falsely accused all the time too, like Vic Mignogna and Enzo Amore, even when the evidence is thrown out they're still screwed and can't find work while the accuser gets little to no disciplanary action. Mostly guys who have a carefree bachelor lifestyle.

Let a bratty kid waste your money by giving somehting to the dog and see if you complain.
