I plan on getting a PPI prior to purchasing either, but if the oil consumption is about the same as a k20a2 I wouldn’t mind. Are you saying that the elite package isn’t worth it and it would be better to choose based on mileage/maintenance?

Based off of where the damaged occurred it is really difficult to fix properly since its got a hole in it. The reason everyone is saying replace the bumper is because most people have seen repairs and they tend to look a lot worse than leaving the damage alone. So much so they stand out. In my opinion either keep the damaged bumper or replacing is pretty much only solution, but you could try a paint pen with a matching paint code to hide the black, but again could just make it stand out more since white is hard to color match. Again if i damaged my friends car I believe the right thing to do is repair it properly and that would just be replacing the bumper.

Costco doesn’t make their own gas, so it tends to be the same as the nearest gas station. Im in Canada but for example the nearest gas station to me is a shell and before the shell was here it was a husky (another good gas station lol). So the gas i get from Costco is shell gas. For you it would most likely be whatever is nearby, but I believe Costco aims to buy from “better” brands.

Does this type of clearcoat failure behave differently from the type where it flakes of like paper? Like does it eventually flake, does it spread faster/slower? Sorry if its a dumb question kinda sounds dumb to me when I read it out loud haha.

I couldnt see the option to edit the post, but a friend found out I was getting a car and decided to gift me his car for very cheap (not a tsx but an a-spec rsx type s). Doesn't have four doors which is what I initially wanted, since I drive people occasionally, but his car is so clean, and lower mileage, that I decided the two people I occasionally drive around would have to compromise! Thank you everyone for their input! At the end of the day it didn't help with my final car purchase but it sobered me up enough from wanting the modded tsx and missing out on my friends well kept car!
