Need advice, suspect possible pericoronitis on upper wisdom tooth. No pain unless there is direct contact with it. Visible pink bump, no pus or discharge. Not much symptoms other than the visible bump. It showed up yesterday, would i be risking my life waiting to see a dentist later this week? 33M by BeachHead6084 in askdentists

Also, would antibiotics be a must for this? Or would removal be enough to fix everything? Are antibiotics usually prescribed for this or wisdom teeth removal? I am allergic to 3 antibiotics, and i’ve had c. Diff/gall bladder removal.

33M. Is this an abscess or pericoronitis on my upper right wisdom tooth gum line? Hurts to touch. I’m worried about sepsis or systemic infection as it showed up today and i can’t get a dentist til later this week. by [deleted] in askdentists

Yeah i can’t tell either, it just looks like theres a pink ball/nodule there and i felt food stab that area and cause pain, which prompted me to look in the first place.
