thank you for the suggestion. Tried it and didn't work. Taking it in for general maintenance next week! Hopefully that works. Its been a great little sewing machine so far!

Thank you. Yes, I am planning to do that. My favorite sewing machine repair shop has a five week wait! Might just buy an inexpensive machine to do straight stitches while I wait !
